K-Pop Roulette is a themed game of live dealer roulette based on the Korean Pop Music K-Pop phenomenon.

In this review, I’ll explain how to play K-pop roulette, demonstrate some betting strategies, and highlight the differences between this and regular European roulette. These are the seven things you need to know about K-Pop Roulette.
K-Pop roulette is played by placing bets on the betting grid that represents the pockets on the roulette wheel. If you guess where the ball lands correctly, you’ll win.
In K-Pop Roulette, there are ten betting options, which are divided into four bet types.
Your stake is returned in addition to the payout.
The game round starts with placing your bets on the betting grid. You can only place bets using this grid. There is no alternative like the Racetrack in European Roulette.
You can place as many bets as you like, but be careful not to bet more than you can win.
The Even Money Bets are Red or Blackjack Numbers, or the Odd and Even Numbers. There are Eighteen of each. Zero is not included, as it’s a bet in its own right.
These are depicted on the wheel with the Symbol Heart, Diamond, Moon and Star. Each sector contains nine numbers, which are shown in the table. Think of these bets as section of the wheel bets.
There are two straight-up bets: Zero, which pays 35:1 and the Lucky Number bet, which also pays 35:1.
The lucky number can be changed as many times as you like, but the playing interface won’t allow you to pick a specific number. The only way to find your lucky number is to scroll through it until it displays it, and then you can lock it in for future game rounds.

After the twenty seconds of betting time have been completed, the ball is automatically spun in the wheel, starting in the opposite direction for each new spin.
We get to watch in close-up as the ball bounces around before landing on one of the pockets.
The result is compared with the bets placed on the betting grid, and if there is a match, you’ll get a payout.
The payouts follow the same structure as European Roulette. The Stratight-up numbers, although there are only two you can bet on, pay 35:1.
The section bets containing the nine numbers depicted by the Symbols pay 3:1 and is a new bet to this game. It doesn’t exist in European Roulette.
The RTP is 97.30%, which aligns with European Roulette.

K-Pop Roulette comes with a basic Results and Statistics tracker, covering up to the last 1000 spins.
The maximum number of results you can see is 500.
The Results Statistics show the winning number, the section symbol, and the colour of the number. You can work out whether the results are odd or even.
The Statistics show the dispersion of the result on the wheel and display the percentage of wins for Odd/Even, Red/Black and the number Zero.
Over the long term, you’d expect the results to even out among the sections and other results. The slider at the top allows you to display the statistics for 100, 200, 500 & 1000 game rounds, so you’ll see how the results differ when a smaller sample is chosen.
This can be useful to you if you like betting on trends.
This is a simplified version of roulette, so no fancy strategies are needed when playing.
The obvious strategy for the Odd/Even, Red/Black bets is the Martingale strategy. But in my mind, this isn’t a strategy for winning. It’s a recovery strategy for when you’ve lost. You keep doubling your bet until you win. The danger is you’ll quickly progress to a substantial sum if you don’t win, so a big bankroll is needed here. I’d only use this if I wanted to try to double my money on the first bet and I lost. I wouldn’t recommend it.
For the Section bets, you’ve got a 4-in-one chance of picking the correct section. The payout is 3:1. Increasing your luck by betting on two sections effectively turns this bet into a 50-50 chance with the same profit margin as the Odd/Even bets. There’s no point in doing that, so I’d select one section and be happy with the 3:1 payout if you win.
A Bet on Zero or the Lucky Number returns 35:1 – this is a stab in the dark, both for Zeros and for which number you get and whether it turns out to be “lucky”.
My advice is to have fun with the bet; don’t make it too complicated. This game is meant to be fun, not played to win a lot of money. If you want to do that, play Crazy Time or Lightning Roulette instead.

Select the best, then select Auto Play and choose the number of game rounds from 10,20,30,50,70 & 99.
The lucky number from the first game will be locked in for all subsequent rounds.
K-Pop Roulette doesn’t need a strategy to be able to play and win. This is a low volatility game, with most bets either returning even money or 3:1. Two bets pay 35:1. You either play them or not. A balanced betting strategy is needed, so structure your bets so you don’t bet more than you can win.
K-Pop Roulette is an entirely different game from multiplier roulettes like Lightning Roulette and Quantum Roulette. They are both highly volatile games that promise significant returns, up to 500x, while K-Pop is a low volatile game and doesn’t offer more than four bet types.
The main difference is the number of bets you can make and how you place your bets. K-Pop roulette has a modified betting grid with only four bet types. It also has a new sector bet, which pays 3:1 and only two straight-up bets. It’s not the same as regular roulette.

K-pop roulette is a themed game of roulette with the essence of K-pop, synonymous with South Korean pop music of all genres and dancing. The studio presentation is glitzy, and the presenters are enthusiastic, but I’m not sure the background music entirely cuts it.
What’s not immediately obvious are Playtech’s changes to the roulette game. Gone are the complicated-looking bets to be replaced with four bet types, simplifying how you bet on the game. Rather than a game promising huge payouts, this game concentrates on the lower end, meaning there are more chances of winning, but when you do, they will be small.
I’ve seen Roulette wheels like this at the trade shows, but to my knowledge, Playtech is the first live dealer developer to go this way with the roulette wheel. Perhaps this will be the beginning of a new range of games!
My only irritation is the way the Lucky Number bet has been created. There is no way to select your lucky number other than scrolling through the options until it lands on the number you like. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the game’s lucky number, which may or may not be lucky!
