XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat is best described as Lightning Baccarat on steroids.
It’s a highly volatile version of Lightning Baccarat with more and larger multipliers, bigger wins, and a more expensive fee for playing.
You’ll need a large bankroll if you’re chasing the big payouts, as a win without a multiplier will feel like a loss, as the payouts will be 0:5 to 1 in real terms.
But if you don’t mind riding the losses for the chance to win up to 1000x on Player and Banker wins and a whopping 2,850,000x on a Tie with six 10x multiplier cards, this may be the game for you.
In the review, I’ll explain how to play Xxxtreme Lightning Baccarat, go into more detail about the fee and the multiplier and the strategy I’d use for playing. There’s a Video review if you prefer to watch rather than read.
Here are nine things you need to know about Evolution XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat.
XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat is played using standard Baccarat rules.
Eight decks of 52 playing cards are shuffled and placed in a dealing show. A cutting card is placed approximately one deck from the end of the shoe. The cutting card’s drawing signifies the shoe’s end, which is changed to a new shoe when the game round completes.
You aim to determine which of the two playing positions, Player or Banker, will have a hand the closest to or equal to nine. You can bet on the playing positions and the Tie position.
If the hand’s Tie, the Player and Banker bets are returned to everyone participating. Those betting on Tie wins a payout of 2.85:1
Winning Player hands receive a payout of 1:1, while a winning Banker hand receives a 0.97:1 payout. 3% is taken as commission on Banker wins.
Now, the exciting part of the game is the multiplier cards. Between four and eight cards are chosen for each game to have multipliers. If the hand you’ve bet on wins and contains a multiplier card, your payout is boosted by the multiplier.
A hand can have multiple multiplier cards, leading to some big wins. For Player or Banker, the max win is 10000x, while the max win for a Tie is 2,850,000:1 (2,85 x 10x,10x,10x,10x,10x,10x ).
The side bets of Banker and Player Pair also benefit from the multipliers, with a maximum payout of 800:1 possible.
The 15 seconds of betting time is enough to get your bets down.
There is no option for auto-play, but you can select the re-bet function if you want to repeat the bet from the previous game round.
There are five positions where you can place a bet:
Once betting time has elapsed, your bets are confirmed, and 50% of your bet is added as a fee to make a total bet. The fee doesn’t form part of the payout calculation. The deduction is used to pay for the boosted multiplier payouts.
The fee is one of the largest in multiplier games and more than double what you’d pay in Lightning Baccarat.
Between Four and Eight cards are randomly selected as multiplier cards from a virtual 52-card deck.
Each card is assigned a random multiplier value of either 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x and 10x.
The cards appear in the bottom left of the playing interface.
If pulled from the dealing shoe, a multiplier card is highlighted, and the multiplier value is superimposed above the dealt cards on the table.
The cards are dealt according to standard baccarat rules.
The Player and banker positions each get an initial two cards, with a third card dealt if the hands conform to the 3rd Card Rule.
The hand closest to or equaling nine is the winner.
As mentioned above if a hand receives a multiplier card it’s highlighted on the table and in the playing interface, with the total payout amount displayed in the betting position of the playing interface.
A player win is paid at 1:1 unless the hand contains a multiplier card, which is applied to the payout. The same is true for a Banker win, but a commission of 3% is taken on wins.
If there is more than one lightning card in a hand, the multipliers are multiplied to give the payout total.
A tied game results in all players’ bets being returned to them.
The max payout for a Player or Banker to win is 1000x, while a Tie could result in a 2,850,000 payout.
However, because the possible wins are so high, the payout limit is capped at £$€500,000.
Let’s start with some basics to determine where we need to use a strategy in XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat.
Firstly, no strategy will tell you which cards will receive multipliers, their values, or how many lightning cards there will be for a game round. These are chosen randomly from a virtual 52-card deck by an RNG engine. No human intervention is involved. It’s a “closed box”, so you cannot predict anything.
The second element is which of the two positions to bet. People use many strategies for predicting the result in Baccarat, and they can all be used in XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat. Experienced players use the Baccarat Roadmaps by looking at past results to determine what will happen next. Many roadmaps are derived from the results to present the information differently from how you’d typically read results. This gives a different view that some players find helpful.
I’m interested in Trends, so I use the roadmaps that best display them, like the Big Road.
My XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat Strategy involves picking a position and sticking with it until it loses. I double my bet for the next bet, select the alternate position, and keep betting until I lose. This is an excellent strategy if there are a few consecutive wins, but you need a big bankroll to cover your bet’s losses and where you’re doubling your bet after a loss.
The previous results of each game round are recorded in a series of Roadmaps known as the Baccarat Roadmaps.
The Bead Road and The Big Road show the results as they occurred, giving details of a Player or Banker win and whether there was a Tie. You’ll also see data for the Number of wins and Ties and Player and Banker Pair wins.
The results are depicted using coloured dots.
Each road map is constructed from the results of the current dealing shoe. Once the shoe is changed, the Roadmaps are cleared and started again.
Three other roadmaps – The Big Eye Road, The Cockroach Road and Small Road are created from the Big Road and show the results in alternative ways. These roads are used to determine the result of the next hand and need some training to read and interrupt them. My Baccarat Roadmaps article explains it all.
XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat has an RTP of 98.68%, fractionally lower than similar Baccarat games.
The other difference with the payouts is the commission rate on banker wins. In all other Baccarat games, it’s 5%, but in this game, it’s just 3%.
The Pairs Side bets start at 8:1, lower than the 10:1 you’d get elsewhere. However, with multipliers, these payouts can be boosted to 800:1.
Wins are capped at £$€500,000 because it’s possible if there was a Tie with three maximum multiplier cards in each hand, the payout would reach 2,850,000:1. What are the chances of this happening?
The base payout for a tie is meager, though, at 2.85:1, while other games will pay 8:1.
Remember, this game is structured for the Lightning Multipliers, and while a 50% fee covers most of it, tweaks with the base payouts cover the rest.
Bet | Payout | RTP |
---|---|---|
Player | 1 – 1000:1 | 98.68% |

XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat is a more volatile version of Lightning Bacacrat, so you’ll expect the figures to differ.
The max payout is 500:1 for Player/Banker wins on Lightning Baccarat, while XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat pays 1000:1.
Game | Player/Banker | Tie | Pairs | Fee |
---|---|---|---|---|
Baccarat | 1:1 | 8:1 | 11:1 | None |

Evolution has created XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat for players who like multiplier games but want bigger wins. Bigger wins mean a more volatile game. They did the same with Lightning Roulette, creating XXXtreme Lightning Roulette which has proved to be as popular as the original.
I suspect XXXtreme will go the same way, with a dedicated following of players.
With a volatile game like this, you’d expect to win less often, but that’s not the case, as more multipliers are available in each game.
Where the game gets you is in the bank balance. Base wins are impacted by the 50% fee you’ve paid. So when you think you’re getting 1:1 for a Player win, you’re just getting 0:5:1, which, over the long term, means your bankroll will diminish more quickly than during the regular game.
I advise playing this version with care and watching your bankroll closely.
XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat is a more volatile version of Lightning Baccarat, meaning you get up to eight multipliers each game round with the potential to win up to 1000:1 on Player/Banker Wins 2,850,000 on a Tie.
The RTP is 98.68%. The Player and Banker Pair side bets have an RTP of 90.45%.
XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat is available at all Evolution Live Casinos.
Five Baccarat Road maps are available to track the results of the current dealing shoe.
