Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette is another version of the very popular Lightning Roulette, created for players who want to play a more volatile game.

In this review, I will explain how to play Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette, highlight the differences between the two versions of the game and discuss some of the Xxxtreme strategies you can use.   I’ve also produced a short video demonstrating the game.

Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette plays like any regular game of live roulette. However, a couple of additional features occur once betting time has closed, making the game payouts different.

Only Straight-up number bets get the benefit of the multiplier payouts.

The game round starts with betting time, your opportunity to place bets on the betting grid. You can do this in 3 ways:

1. By placing your chips directly on the betting grid.
2. Using the Racetrack to identify sections of the wheel bets (French Bets) or Neighbour Bets.
3. By recalling a favourite bet you may have saved earlier or using one of the “special bets”.

Once betting time has closed, the dealer pulls a lever to activate the selection process for the lightning numbers. Up to five numbers are selected with multipliers up to 500x. These are displayed on the betting grid in Golden colour.

The game jumps to the next level at this point when random Chain Lighting explodes across the grid, selecting more numbers (only up to a maximum total of 10)—known as Chain Numbers with multipliers, and highlighted in Red on the betting grid.

When you think the dealer is about to spin the wheel, another burst of Lightning occurs, called the Double Strike, which can increase the existing multipliers to a maximum of 2000x.

The roulette ball travels around the wheel until it comes to a stop in one of the numbered pockets on the wheel.

Strategies and tactics play an important role when playing Xxxtreme lightning roulette.

The whole point of playing this game version is to get the multipliers. So your betting strategy needs to do two things:

1. Give you the best chance to get a multiplier

Tips for the Best Chance to get a multiplier

1. The most obvious is to place a bet on each straight-up number. When you do this, you’ll bet 36 units and return 19 units every spin. You will lose 17 units. You are guaranteed a multiplier doing this, but it’s a high risk, high-cost strategy. Only do this if you have a substantial bankroll.
2. Place straight-up bets on sections of the wheel. You’ll lose using this strategy, but you can limit the amount you cover and therefore balance that with the 19:1 you’d win. Use the neighbour facility to identify the numbers and place straight-up bets. There is no guarantee you’ll get the Multiplier, but your bankroll will last longer.

An alternative is to use a hedging method you place the straight-up bets and place some outside bets to offset the loss you get with a straight-up bet paying only 19:1. You can use the Dozens or Columns bet to return 2:1 and target different wheel sections. Or to play it super safe place some even money bets.

Remember, though – these are strategies to bet, not strategies to win, so you will have spins that will not win – so manage your bet amounts and bankroll accordingly.

It would be best if you avoided the Martingale strategy in this game. It’s difficult enough to get a multiplier win without having to double your last bet to offset a loss. You’ll have many losses. You can only use martingale on even money bets, not straight-up bets, which you need in this game.

Extreme Lightning Roulette is a more volatile game than its brother, lightning roulette.

You’ll get bigger wins on Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette, but they are unlikely to occur as often as wins on the original game.

In terms of presentation, both games use good colours and sounds. If I had to choose, I’d say I prefer the red hues of Xxxtreme more than the colour palette in the original game.

In terms of base payouts, Xxxtreme pays less, 19:1, for a straight-up win than Lightning roulette which pays 29:1.

There are more multipliers on Xxxtreme, and the payout is up to 2000x, whereas Lightning Roulette has a maximum payout of 500x.

The price you pay on Xxxtreme is the lower base payouts because they are used to fund the additional multipliers.
