Crazy Pachinko is the third spin-off game Evolution has produced from its all-time number-one game, Crazy Time, and follows Crazy Coin Flip and Red Door Roulette.

Crazy Pachinko is a five-reel slot game, with the Pachinko bonus round from Crazy TIme.

Like most slots, three scatters are required to trigger the bonus round, but there is a way to fast-track the process if you have the bankroll to fund the feature buy.

Unlike most slots, once you’ve triggered the bonus feature, you can top up the final multiplier payouts by playing a second slot, the sole purpose of which is to add multipliers to the last game round.

The Pachinko Bonus rounds are run every few minutes and are a live event controlled by the game presenter responsible for dropping the puck into the Pachinko machine.

In this review, I’ll explain how to play Crazy Pachinko, discuss whether the feature buys are worth it and whether there is a playing strategy that will increase your chances of winning.

Crazy Pachinko is a five-reel slot with a bonus round, which happens to be the Pachinko Bonus round from the Crazy Time gameshow.

The bonus round behaves in the same way as in Crazy Time, with a presenter dropping a puck into a wall that has prizes positioned along the bottom.

To qualify for the bonus round, players need to play a slot and get three scatters. It’s possible to shorten the qualification process by increasing the chances of getting the scatter or buying the feature. Both routes are expensive, so you’ll need a big bankroll to fund it.

Unlike most slot bonus rounds, you can boost the payouts on the prize wall by playing a slot that provides top-up multipliers, which get added to the final wall.

It’s possible to boost the payouts up to 10,000x, but the most likely top-ups are between 2x and 10x.

The live Pachinko bonus round is run every few minutes, so players join the bonus round at different times, depending on how long it takes them to qualify.

You must balance how you play this game, as it’s easy to qualify for a bonus round, having invested more than you can win. I have some tips in my Strategy Section to avoid this.

There are three phases to Crazy Pachinko:

1. The Qualification Phase
2. The Top-Up Phase
3. Pachinko Bonus Round

Let’s look at these three in more detail.

The Qualification Phase

The qualification phase uses a 5-reel slot with ten pay lines.

The objective is to get three scatters, and while you’re doing that, you can win payouts for matched symbols on the ten pay lines.

The first key element is the amount you bet. Your bet amount determines the value of each multiplier in the final bonus round. So the more you bet per spin during qualification the higher your payout in the bonus round will be.

The bet amount is also significant because the XXXtreme spins and Feature buy are based on multiples of the amount. The Feature Buy, giving automatic access to the bonus round, will cost you 75 times your bet amount.

The Xtreme Spins, giving one guaranteed scatter for each spin, will cost you Fifteen times your bet amount for each spin you make.

You can do the math. You’d be better off buying the features if it takes more than five spins to get three scatters.

The alternative and normal way to play is to spin the slot at your bet amount and be satisfied.

You’ll pick up wins as you go and could even turn a small profit, which is unlikely.

The scatters are sticky, so if they appear on the slot, they will remain there for each subsequent spin but move down a line until they drop off the bottom.

The scatters also contain multipliers, which will be applied to the final payouts on the Pachinko board if active at the time you qualify.

Multiplier Top-Up Phase

Having qualified, you’ll be presented with a Top-UP slot, a 4×4 grid. Along the bottoms are 16 slots, into which the multipliers are dropped.

Each spin of the Top-Up slot will produce multipliers. The default bet amount is what you qualified with, but you can increase the bet, which will proportionally increase the value of the multipliers. The top-up amounts can be between 2x and 10,000x.

The top-up process monitors the winning multipliers and will not allow more multipliers to be purchased if the maximum payout amount has been reached.

The time for the Top-Up process is extended if the current Pachinko round ends in a Double. If you join the top-up round with less than 10 seconds remaining, you’ll get the choice to join the next Pachinko Bonus round or stay in the Top-Up phase until the timer finishes its countdown.

Once the time has reached Zero, you’ll join the next bonus round.

Crazy Pachinko Game

Once you’re through the Top-UP phase, you can play the large Pachinko board with its sixteen prize pockets.

The bonus round follows this sequence of events:

1. Multipliers and Double symbols are applied to each of the sixteen prize pockets.
2. If there was a Scatter Multiplier, this is applied to all visible multipliers.
3. Lastly, The Top-up multipliers are added to the corresponding pockets for which they were won.

At this point, the Presenter climbs the stairs and drops the puck between columns Four and Twelve.

We watch as the puck goes down the wall, eventually falling into one of the prize pockets. If the pocket contains a multiplier, your bet is multiplied by the multiplier, making your prize payout. If the puck drops in a Double pocket, all multipliers are doubled, and the puck is dropped again.

Only one Double sequence can be performed; if the puck lands in another, the multipliers remain the same, and the puck is dropped again.

Crazy Pachinko delivers multiplier payouts from the bonus round.

Regardless of the process you’ve gone through in the qualification and Top-Up stages, the initial Multipliers applied to the Pachincko wall are the same. They range between 10x and 200x. So you know the minimum win can be 10x!

The scatters can have multipliers that can be applied to the initial multipliers, so that’s an essential part of the game to consider when they occur, and it may influence how you view the Top-Up Phase.

The scatter multipliers do not apply to the Top-Up multipliers.

Things to remember:

1. The base bet used during qualification is carried through to the final round. There is no way to increase that.
2. You don’t have to qualify quickly. It doesn’t achieve anything by being quick to qualify unless you’re an impatient player.
3. The Top-Up phase is optional. The multipliers you can win increase in value the more you bet. Increasing your bet here won’t change the base bet in the final bonus round – that’s fixed during the qualification process. You’re paying for more multipliers, which you may or may not see the benefit of in the final bonus round.
4. Monitor how much you’ve bet during the qualification and Top-up phases. You don’t want to invest more than you could win in the final Crazy Pachinko Bonus round.
5. Multipliers on Scatters are good to have. Enjoy them when they occur.

Now we’ve got that out of the way, let’s look at the different strategies for playing.

Should You Buy The Qualification Feature or XXXtreme Spins?

The answer is NO unless you’re in a hurry to play the final bonus round.

You gain no benefit other than Time. Because the slot pays on ten win lines and you win with three or more symbols, you could make money (unlikely) during the qualification process.

If anything, you’ll reduce your outlay by qualifying through the regular route. If you don’t buy the feature or use XXXtreme Spins, you can use a larger base bet, which you’ll benefit from in the final Pachinko round. In Summary – There is NO reason other than saving Time to buy the feature.

How Much Should your Base bet be?

Bet as much as you can afford. The final reckoning on the Pachinko wall will use your base bet multiplied by the multiplier amount you win. If you’re betting 0.10 a spin and the final payout is 10x, you’ll win £1 – which is a good result, as you’ll profit. If the base bet were £1, you’d win £10. I like to bet about 1-2% of my bankroll per spin, throw in some bigger bets after a few spins, and then reduce to my minimum, hoping to catch the scatters while the bigger bets are in play.

What is the strategy for Playing Crazy Pachinko?

I think this game needs to be played at sensible stakes, one that you can afford, and try to get to the Pachinko Wall as often as possible. That’s where the payouts occur. The base maximum is 200x, and with a scatter multiplier, that can be boosted to 10,000x. Imagine winning that on a 0.01 bet. I think this is a game for little, and often, take the wins when they occur and bank them.

Topping-Up, Yes or No?

I’m on the fence with this one, as it’s possible to get a top-up of up to 10,000x if you place a big enough bet.

I’m not an advocate of topping up. The benefit is a gamble on whether the Top-up amounts are in your prize slot. If they’re not, the process wastes Time and money. Although I’m a gambler, it feels like you’re throwing money away before you’ve won anything. So, I wouldn’t play the Top-Up.

The optimal RTP for Crazy Pachinko is 96.05% based on the XXXtreme Spin.

The RTP For the Normal Spin and the Feature Buy is 96.04%, while the Top_up has a poor RTP of 95.01%.

The payouts for the Qualification slot are shown in the table and are slightly less than those on the Crazy Coin flip qualification. It’s marginal, with 0,5% being the difference on a couple of the Fruit symbols.

The Payouts for the Crazy Pachinko Bonus Round are 10x to 200x, but these can be boosted with Scatter Multipliers and the Top-Up slot. The maximum on the Top-Up slot is 10,000x.
