Evolution Speed Auto Roulette, not to be confused with Evolution Speed Roulette and Playtech Speed Roulette, which are pure live dealer games, is a successful amalgamation of an actual roulette wheel and the sheer pace of automated Roulette.
It’s still automated Roulette but doesn’t rely on a random number generator. Instead, an actual roulette wheel is used. It’s just that the ball is shot out using compressed air, and sensors within the wheel detect where the ball landed, which negates the need for a human dealer.
The game was released in 2017, so it isn’t among the innovative modern roulette games by Evolution, but it’s still relevant today and deserves consideration.
This is a perfect no-frills fast roulette experience that hasn’t needed an upgrade since its release.
It won’t win any awards today, but it fits the needs of a specific type of player perfectly. This game is just brilliant in its simplicity and perfect execution, which made Evolution a top live casino game provider in the first place.

Instead of having a live dealer, Evolution Speed Auto Roulette uses a roulette wheel that uses compressed air to shoot the ball out. The wheel has sensors that detect where the ball lands. This is the best of both worlds – you get the true randomness of an actual roulette wheel, and the game’s pace is significantly increased.
Overall I liked the presentation of the game and the Speed of game rounds, though I was caught out by the rapid betting time of 15 seconds several times.

Results of the last 500 spins are available in statistics, which you can also use to place your bets.
Another cool feature is the Auto Betting facility. You can repeat your last bet 100 times with the funds in your account. Alternatively, you can specify a loss limit to end the auto sequence.
The mixed-mode playing interface is intended for players with poor streaming connections. Most of the interface is computer-generated rather than a live stream, with the live wheel inset into the playing interface.
The playing interface is functional and very easy to use. I prefer this layout if I’m playing for a long session.
The other added benefit is you get to see the chat history. If you’re playing with others or want to engage with live support, you can see everything that is said on one screen.

Two of these games use an automated slingshot type of wheel that shoots the ball out with compressed air, and two are real live dealer games that try to speed the game up as much as possible.

Do I believe that Speed Auto Roulette still has a place in live casinos today? Yes, most certainly.
Of the four “speed” roulette options available, this one is at least as good as Slingshot Auto Roulette. Players will choose between the two based on which wheel they prefer.
The target audience for this type of game is RNG roulette players, who should be encouraged to step up and play Roulette on an actual wheel if they don’t want a human dealer.
