Ezugi Teen Patti is a live dealer card game played against a dealer.
The rules of the game are quite simple, to win, the players 3 card hand needs to be better than the dealers hand.
Teen Patti is very similar to live 3 Card Poker, in fact if you compare the two side by side they are pretty much identical apart from the payouts for some of the hands.
In this guide I’ll be explaining how to play and the best strategy to use when playing.

Teen Patti has it’s origins in South Asia, and is based on the 16th Century card game 3 card Brag. The game has been adapted to play online with a live dealer, so it’s scaleble with many players playing the same hand.
It’s normally played with 3-6 players and is played like Poker, with the winner taking all the money.
Ten Patti is essentially a 3 card poker game, with the best poker hand winning.
There’s the option to play 2 additional side bets, which add to the excitement of the game.
Teen Patti or Flash or Flush as it’s sometimes known, is played with one deck of 52 playing cards, which is shuffled and changed after each game round.
Prior to any cards being dealt, the player has to place an Ante Bet to play.
There’s two additional optional side bets that can be played as well, which I’ll explain in more detail later on:
If you want to play either or both of these, now is the time to place the bet.
The Pairs Side Bet pays when the players hand contains a pair or better.
The 3+3 Bonus is paid when a qualifying 5 card poker hand is formed out of the players and dealers cards.
There’s multiple ways to win with the 3+3 Bonus. The minimum qualifying hand is 3 or a kind (Trips).
Both of the side bets are paid regardless of the outcome of the main hand.
The dealer then deals 3 cards face up to the players position and 3 cards face down to the dealers positions.
Based on the cards dealt the player now decides whether to play the hand by placing a bet that’s equal to the value of the Ante. If the players decides not to play he selects the fold option.
If the side bets have been played, they remain on the table until the end of the game round. It’s possible to fold your hand and still win on the side bets.
The dealer reveals his 3 cards and they are compared with the players hand.
The best 3 card poker hand wins.
You’d think the payouts would be straight forward. However with Teen Patti the dealer needs a qualifying hand to be able to make payments.
This is set as Queen high.
The following rules govern how hands are paid out.
The Ante has a RTP of 96.63%.
Pair or Better returns to the player 95.51%.
3+3 Has an RTP of 91.44%. Not the best returns, but gives the highest possible payouts.
Playing Strategies are important. Not because you’ll win using them, because you have to remember this is gambling and there is no guaranteed way to win.
However having an approach to playing will maximise your opportunities to make your bankroll last long. You’ll stop playing hands that are more likely to lose, and concentrate your efforts on the hands that have the potential to win. All common sense stuff!
Lets start with some home truths.
Side bets – The only real winner in the long term for side bets is the Casino. They are structured in such a way to give the odd big payout, but for most of the time they return much less than the main hand bet. Only play these if you have a big bankroll, as that will allow you to ride the times when you’re not winning.
The main hand is your best bet for keeping your bankroll the longest.
It’s possible to walk away with a profit, but it’s likely to be small in relation to the stakes you’re gambling with. This has an RTP of 96.63. If returns are important to you I recommend you try Blackjack or Roulette as they have better RTP’s than Teen Patti.
Quite simply, if you have a Queen, 6, 4 or greater in your hand you should play.
Statistics show this level stands a chance of beating the dealer.
Most often your hoping that the dealer won’t qualify, so the hand will be pushed and you’ll get your money back.
While that’s not a win in the true sense it is when you look at the stats overall.
Sticking to this rule, however hurtful it may feel at times is the way to go. Trust me on that :-).
Teen Patti is the same as 3 Card Poker and pretty much the same as 3 Card Brag.
What they have in common is they are great, simple poker games.
I love playing them in land-based casinos and while Teen Patti isn’t available in the UK, I get my fix with 3 Card Poker.
Ezugi Teen Patti should suit the Asian market as it’s extremely popular.
The quality of the game, streaming and presenters is top-notch and is another winner from Ezugi Live Casino Software.
It’s a thumbs up from me!
