Jumanji, The Bonus Level Live, is a live dealer entertainment game by Playtech based on the Sony film classic Jumanji. A mix of live-action and RNG bring the world of Jumanji to life in a jungle-designed set.
Assume the role of one of the Characters from the film, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar and Dr Xander “Smolder” Bravestone and embark on an adventure that could deliver big multiplier payouts.
Play the giant wheels for a chance to win cash prizes and entry into one of six bonus rounds. Also, look out for the Saving Jumanji Ceremony and the special random multipliers bonus round for extra payout options.
The bonus rounds deliver multipliers up to a game maximum of 5000x.
A lot is going on in this game, so in this review of Jumanji The Bonus Level Live, I’ll explain all the game elements, how to play and whether there is a strategy for winning.
My video review includes all of the bonus rounds in action – trust me, it took some time to collect them all! Enjoy watching.

The central core of the game is two 43-segment wheels mounted with the side edge facing the players.
Wheel One contains win symbols for:
The second wheel contains segments for:
The aim of the game is to place bets on the betting grid for Numbers 1 & 2 and the six bonus round, hoping the first wheel stops on a segment where you’ve put a bet. The second wheel is spun to deliver multipliers for the main results through your chosen character.
You’ll receive half your bet back if either wheel stops on the Jaguar’s head. If both wheels stop on the Jaguar’s head, a special bonus, the Saving Jumanji round, is triggered where one character receives 11x their total bet, while everyone else gets 5x!
Except for the special bonus round and the Wild Spin, all bonus rounds require players to make choices, which will influence the payouts received during the bonus round. Note: if you don’t choose, the playing interface does it for you.
You can play Jumanji The Bonus Level Live at any of my recommended Playtech Live Casinos.
My recommendation is PlayOJO
You’ll find Jumanji The Bonus Level Live in the Playtech lobby of Live Casino Games under the Gameshows tab.
Fire up the game by clicking on the icon and get ready to place your bets.
When you first open the game, you’ll have the opportunity to assume a character’s identity during the game.
At the beginning of the game, you need to choose a character to play. These are the main characters from the film, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar and Dr. Xander “Smolder” Bravestone.
During each game, your character can win extra payouts or be chosen to win during the Saving Jumanji round.
You can change your character before every game round or leave it for the duration. The choice is yours. There is an equal chance of each character being chosen, so go with the character you closely identify with. I chose Ruby Roundhouse because she’s hot!
There are eight betting positions,
A bet-all function will place a bet on all bet spots, or you can use your finger/mouse to swipe across the options on the playing interface to place a bet.
Auto Play is available if you want to repeat the same bet. You can pick to play 10, 20, 30, 50, 70 or 99 rounds.
The presenter will spin two wheels.
The first wheel contains the bonus and number segments, while the second contains all the character segments.
The purpose of the second wheel is to provide multipliers to the wins on the first wheel.
If the second wheel stops on a character or character’s spot, those characters will receive double the payout.
The exception is where the wheels land on a Jaguar. If one wheel stops, then regardless of where the first wheel stops, all players receive half their stake back.
If both wheels stop on the Jaguar’s head, the Saving Jumanji ceremony is initiated – more on that later.
The second wheel consists of 43 sectors:
Four types of results can occur
Let’s look at the possible result combinations from both wheels.
Wheel 1 Result | Base Payout | Wheel 2 Result | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 1:1 | Matching Character Respin x2 Jaguars Head | Doubles the Payout for the matching Character(s) Doubles the Wheel 1 payout and Respins the 2nd wheel 50% of Bet returned to all players. |

There are six bonus rounds, and an extra one is initiated when Wheel One and Two land on a Jaguar’s Head or during the Rhino Run or Path to Jumanji.
The Bonus rounds are:
The extra bonus is Saving Jumanji.
Let’s take a look at each one in detail, including how to play and whether you can benefit from any playing strategies.
The Jungle Royal Bonus Round pits two player positions against the evil character Van Pelt.
Each playing position has three chances to throw items at Van Pelt in an attempt to destroy the health points of Van Pelt.
Each missile has a multiplier, which is added to the playing position’s total payout. If both players manage to destroy Van Pelt, an extra 10x multiplier is added to the total.
Throws alternate between each playing position until each has thrown three missiles.
The type of missile is chosen randomly for each player before each game round and is only revealed after you have selected a playing position.
You must choose to be Player 1 or Player 2. If you don’t choose, the playing interface picks for you.
This bonus round returns a minimum value of 4x and a maximum of 27x without additional bonus multipliers.
With the Monkey Valley Bonus Round, you’re presented with three bridges to cross the abyss.
Each bridge is given an initial multiplier value and risk rating of being destroyed.
You pick one of the bridges.
Monkeys run across each bridge inflicting damage as they go, which reduces the multipliers for the bridge or destroys it.
You win if the monkeys get across your bridge and it remains intact. You receive the multiplier that’s left for your bridge as a payout.
If your bridge is destroyed, you’ll receive a consolation prize of 5x.
This bonus round returns a minimum value of 4x and a maximum of 27x without additional bonus multipliers.
The Snake Bit bonus round uses a deck of 52 cards containing face values of a Basket, Antidote and Snake.
The presenter shuffles the cards before dealing five, face down on the table.
You have to pick three of the five cards.
The presenter turns over each card, revealing the face value.
You’ll likely get a mix of cards making up your total payout.
The minimum payout is 4x, and the maximum is 40x, without any additional bonuses.
This bonus round returns a minimum value of 4x and a maximum of 27x without additional bonus multipliers.
The Wild Spin Bonus round uses a traditional 54-segment big wheel covered in Animal figures, Character motifs and respin segments.
There are:
The presenter spins the wheel.
Should the wheel land on a Respin, all the animals receive a 5x increase, and the wheel is spun again.
If the wheel stops on a Character, the Animal payouts are doubled for that character and the wheel is spun again.
The game ends once the wheel stops on an Animal figure.
The minimum payout for the game is 10x and a maximum of 40x without additional bonus multipliers.
The Path of Jumanji is a dice board game with 4 participants, a Blue Monkey, Purple Crocodile, Red Elephant and Green Rhino. Each animal must complete a 15-step path collecting multipliers until one animal reaches the centre first. Landing on green domes brings additional bonuses and can trigger the Saving Jumanji Bonus round.
Players pick an Animal for the four dice rolls, with each animal having a coloured dice. The game ends an Animal reaches the centre.
Your animal picks up multipliers as he moves along his path, which are added to the total.
There are green domes at steps three and eight. Landing on these will trigger additional bonuses:
The Saving Jumanji: The Next Level Bonus is triggered if the Saving Jamunji Bonus is awarded on stone three and the animal lands on stone eight.
The Maximum payout for the bonus is 30x, not including any additional prizes from the game or the Saving Jumanji ceremony.
The fifteen path multipliers are the same for each animal – 1x, 1x, Green Dome, 2x, 2x, 2x, 1x, Green Dome, 2x, 2x, 2x, 2x, 2x, 2x, 9x.
The Rhino Run Cash Collect bonus round is the most volatile of the bonus rounds, delivering multiplier wins and access to the Saving Jumanji The Next Level Bonus.
Three coloured chests sit at the bottom of three coloured lines, each containing six slots.
You pick one of the coloured chests, which becomes your line for the game’s duration.
The game has seven “Drops”, where Multipliers, Green Jewels, and Cash Collect symbols drop from the sky onto your line.
The multipliers and Green Jewels can only be collected if Cash Collect coins are active on the path when they drop. All the multipliers and Jewels are multiplied if the number of Cash Coins on a line is two or more.
You win the multipliers you’ve collected after the seventh drop has finished.
Rhinos occasionally stampede through the game and down you’re line. They will break open chests on the line, revealing the contents, which could be a multiplier, Jewel or Cash Collect Coin.
The minimum payout is 5x, while the maximum can be 630x. It’s possible to win between 101x to 1569x on the Saving Jumanji Round if triggered.
The Saving Jumanji Bonus Round appears in two ways:
The presenter performs a theatrical sequence of loading the Green Jewel into the Jaguar’s head, chanting Jumanji Jumanji to start the bonus round. If it’s the Saving Jumanji Round, all four character symbols light up, with one chosen to receive that main payout.
The theoretical return to player (RTP) of Jumanji Live is 97.63%, with a range of RTPs for the different game parts between 95.12% and 97.63%.
Jumanji Live is an average volatile game, with an average payout of 10x and 25x. The highest payout is capped at 5000x, which in the current trend of entertainment games could be considered rather low.
The hardest part of the game is the Snake Bite Bonus Round, with an RTP of 95.08%.
I’ve found the Rhino Run Cash Collect to be the most volatile, and is the only round where I’ve received a 0x multiplier!
The game is designed to give regular wins and frequent bonus rounds, and while they may not pay well every time, you do get a feeling there could be a big win there, especially if you’re carrying in some respins, or a character doubles.
The probability of hitting each segment of the Jumanji Wheels is displayed in the table under Hit Frequency.
The game is structured so that every wheel spin is a unique event, so the result of past spins has no bearing on what happens next.
The maximum payout for Jumanji The Bonus Level Live is capped at 5000x, as it’s possible to keep retriggering the Respin x2 segment on the second wheel.

Statistics are essential in providing information on what is happening during a game. The data is compiled from past results, and in the case of Jumanji The Bonus Level live, they contain details of the last spin result.
Playtech will include more information in future updates to the game, hopefully including details of the distribution of Character wins, payout amounts and distribution of wins by category. However, until that happens, we’re stuck with the last 30 results.
While monitoring the stats and Jumanji result trackers are helpful, they can’t be used to determine future results.
My advice is don’t use them. Every spin is an independent event, so even if the number 1 hasn’t occurred for five spins doesn’t mean it’s due to happen on the next spin. In this case, that is unlikely because if you know the probability for Number 1 to hit is every three spins, a likely outcome is Number 1 will appear, but it’s not guaranteed. It could equally not happen for another five spins.
Following an appropriate Jumanji The Bonus Level Live Strategy, is better.
Most players are looking for the most optimal playing and betting strategy for Jumanji Live so they can play for longer and have more success in winning.
This complex game has two main wheels and seven bonus rounds, so you can use plenty of strategies.
The first is understanding how betting works and how every spin will result in a payout of some form. It’s extremely unlikely that every spin will result in a total loss. The worst you can do is lose 50% of your bet. Knowing that helps your approach and strategy for the game.
This game is all about the Bonus Rounds, so if you’re not playing a bonus round, you probably shouldn’t be playing the game.
Accept that every strategy involves a bet every bonus round. Thereafter you must decide whether to bet on the Number 1 and Two Bets.
I’m in the camp of betting on everything because there is a 21% chance you’ll get a 2x multiplier from the 2nd wheel, which boosts the payouts on the first wheel.
Jumanji Live has loads going on, so how do you decide where to place your bets?
That’s tough because all the Bonus rounds have potential and are pretty balanced, so picking out the best or worst is not easy.
The big wins sit with the Rhino Run: Cash Collect and the Path Of Jumanji. These bonus rounds can additionally trigger the Saving Jumanji The Next Level Bonus Round, which can deliver a multiplier payout of up to 1569x & 1029x, respectively, on top of what has been won during the bonus round. The least potential is with the Snake Bite Mini Game, but it’s marginal.
A bonus round segment occupies 27.90% of the wheel so that a 1:3.5 chance of getting a bonus round. In other words, on average, expect a bonus round every 3 1/2 spins.
Number One occupies 39.53% of the wheel, giving an average hit rate of once every 2.5 spins, while Number Two occupies 25.58% of the wheel, providing a hit rate of 1 in every 3.9 spins.
So there is a better chance of getting a Bonus round than Number two!
One of the critical elements is the size of your Bankroll. The purpose of playing should be fun, and if you’re like me, you want to play for a long time, so good Bankroll management is a must.
The worst you can do on a spin is get 50% of your stake back which will happen 6.97% of the time (every 14.34 Spins). The rest of the time, you’ll get a win of some sort – but that win may not be as much as your total bet. It depends on how you distribute your stake across the betting spots.
I advise you not to bet more than 5% of your bankroll in a game round. So if you have £100, bet a total of £5.
My strategy is about having an extended playtime and hoping to win a decent amount in a bonus round. So I structure my betting accordingly.
I’m not looking to win on the primary wheel with the number of bets. The best I want is to break even, so I play the odds a bit.
Of course, I have to suck up a total loss when Number 2 hits, but that’s the gamble I’m willing to take.
With this strategy, I have all the Bonuses covered, I’m not betting too much per spin, and I can break even on the main wheel. I accept the number two result will be a total loss, but I also know what multiplier I have to achieve in the bonus round to make a profit when I see that it concentrates the mind and helps you manage your gameplay.
There are alternative strategies, such as betting on All Positions or only betting on the Bonus Rounds. These are more volatile strategies and are likely to deplete your bankroll if you have too many consecutive losing spins.,
Each Bonus round involves some form of player choice: pick a playing position or Animal character.
Let’s go through each bonus round to understand whether there is a strategic way of playing.
At the start of the game, you must pick a character from a list of four. There is an equal chance of the characters being used during the game, so I wouldn’t dwell too much on this and pick the one you like most. Over the long term, they will feature the same amount of times, but as we know, games can be streaky, so if this happens during the game, you can change your Character at the start of betting time.
In this round, players must pick between Player 1 and 2. This game is RNG based, so you have no influence over the results – it’s predetermined. In this instance, my strategy alternates between Player 1 and 2; others like to stick with one player’s position. Do what you feel most comfortable with.
Pick one of three bridges rated Low, Medium and High Risk of destruction in this round. Picking the Low-Risk one will win more often.
I tend to look at my bankroll and, depending on how I’m performing, decide how risky I want to be. I usually go low or medium, as there is an 80% chance the High-risk bridge will break.
This Bonus Round has no strategy, as you have no decisions to make. You watch the presenter (Nigel) spin the wheel and hope it lands on your Character to double the payout or land on a high-paying symbol.
In this bonus round, you’re faced with picking three cards from five. The presenter deals the cards face down, so there is no way of knowing what they are. My strategy is to mix it up each time I play. Sometimes I go with the first three cards. Next time I pick each alternating card. Then maybe the first one and the last two.
With the path of Jumanji, you can pick one Animal from Elephant, Rhino, Monkey and Crocodile. Each Animal faces the same journey along the path, determined by the roll of their coloured dice. As strategies o, each Animal has the same chance, and more than one Animal can win, so it’s all luck whether your Animal lands on a Green Stone or picks up the most multipliers. Go for whatever colour or Animal is your favourite.
In this bonus round, you pick one of three coloured lines. The multipliers and Cash Coins and Jewels drop randomly onto each line. It’s pure luck whether the line you’ve chosen gets good wins. Again I tend to pick different lines each time I play. If I’ve had a bad experience with one, I may play it again during the same session, hoping my luck evens out!
Neither of the Saving Jumanji Bonus rounds requires you to do anything. You watch as the game chooses a character to win or a multiplier to pay you in the Next Level Bonus.
Jumanji Live doesn’t have any cheats or tricks for playing. It’s a straightforward game that’s evenly balanced. If you don’t use a sensible strategy to play, there’s every chance you’ll walk away with nothing, so understanding the game is essential. It’s not a game where you can push the envelope; you must be in position when the big wins occur. The best single Jumanji Live Time tip I can give is, don’t play with the wrong system or without a strategy.
As far as tips and tricks go, here’s a rundown of things you need to know.
If you want a big win, you’ll need patience when playing Jumanji The Bonus Level Live. Big wins don’t happen often. You’ll need respins and double payouts on some of the bonus rounds to get them. The best-paying rounds are the Rhino Run and Path to Jumanji, with the additional Saving Jumanji Jackpot round following. This is where the big multipliers lay. Otherwise, at best, you’ll get a few hundred times your bet on the other bonus rounds.
Is there a good time of day to play this game?
In terms of winning and the size of wins, it doesn’t matter what time of day you play. The odds are still the same.
Most people play the game late afternoon and evening, during their leisure time. During the day, the number of players is less.
The number of players playing has no bearing on the results but can improve the atmosphere as the chat will be busy, and the presenter will be chatting about other things besides the game.
This can certainly improve your enjoyment, especially if you’re going through a period where you’re not winning as much.
The early mornings are the quietest times to play.
Unfortunately, there is no way to play Jumanji Live for free or in demo mode. The only way you can play is for real money.
The good thing, though, is the minimum stakes are low, so you can play for pennies/cents without risking too much money and still have some fun.
Jumanji is the first live dealer game associated with the film entertainment industry. It’s a partnership that Playtech and Sony signed a few years ago, so it’s great to see the game come to fruition.
The game has unique features, such as the 50% back on a losing spin on the primary wheel and the Multiplier given on the total bet amount in the Saving Jumanji Ceremony feature. Having a bonus round without needing a bet is a feature Playtech has used in Adventures Beyond Wonderland, so it’s great to see it in use here.
If you’re familiar with the film, you’ll see little nods to the film all over the game, from the characters to the Jumanji Stone to the bridges in the Monkey Valley and Nigel the host. The health levels feature in the Jungle Royale Bonus. It’s also the first bonus round to use arcade-type play – another first!
The game plays well and feels nicely balanced. Some Bonus rounds are more volatile than others, and my experience has been relatively low wins on all bonus rounds. The bigger wins need respins from the second wheel and Character doubles, and the Saving Jumanji Round is triggered from the Rhino Run or Path To Jumanji Bonus Rounds.
Play speed is relatively quick, and I could turn my bankroll over many times, giving me plenty of playtime.
You must play the game a bit to understand what’s happening. The two wheels work well together but are a bit confusing until you understand how the second wheel works and the impact the character actors have on doubling payouts. Once you have that, the game makes more sense.
Some bits could improve, like the statistics and indications of what is happening during the Saving Jumanji Bonus Round. I’m assured these enhancements are on their way!
Overall I think this is an excellent addition to Playtech’s Live Dealer Entertainment Games and one I’ll be playing quite often.
The game uses two wheels to provide the result in each game round. The wheels contain Numbers and Bonus Round segments, which you bet on before the wheel spins. The second wheel chooses a character, doubling the payout on the first wheel for players playing that character. The bonus rounds deliver multiplier wins, with boosted payouts from Characters and respins on the second wheel. A jackpot bonus round, Saving Jumanji can give huge wins when triggered.
The biggest win is 5000x, which can be achieved through a combination of doubles, respins, the bonus rounds Rhino Run and Path of Jumanji in conjunction with the Saving Jumanji feature.
You’ll get a payout in every game. The lowest is 50% of your initial total stake. The Number 1 will hit every two and half spins, Two will hit every 3.9 spins, Jungle Royale & Monkey Valley every 14 spins, Wild Spin and Snake Bite every 21.5 spins, and Rhino Run & Path of Jumanji every 43.13 Spins.
The Saving Jamunji Bonus round is triggered in two ways. Firstly when both wheels stop on the Jaguar’s Head, when this occurs, one character is chosen as the main winner, while the others get a lower payout. The other way is through the Path of Jumanji and Rhino Run Bonus Rounds. In this case, the character triggering the bonus will get multipliers.
The theoretical return to player (RTP) of Jumanji, The Bonus Level Live, is between 97.63%, although each betting position has separate RTPs. Number One is 96.41%, Number 2 is 97.63%, Jungle Royal is 95.37%, Monkey Valley is 95.12%, Wild Spin is 95.33%, Snake Bite is 95.08%, Path of Jamunji is 95.13%, and Rhino Run is 95.52%.
Your bet frequency is up to you which is determined by how much bankroll you have and how long you want to play. You should choose a betting strategy that matches your risk profile. I play every round during the session and use Autoplay to ensure I don’t miss any games.
Jumanji The Bonus Level Live is special because it has seven bonus rounds, pays 50% of your bet back when you lose and offers a maximum payout of 5000x.
On average, you can expect a bonus round to appear every three and a half spins, although sometimes it can take over ten spins to appear!
You’ll be able to play at any Playtech Live Casino.
Yes, there are strategies for playing Jamunji The Bonus Level Live. They depend on how much bankroll you have and your attitude to risk.
