If you believe the marketing hype, you’ll expect Evolution Race Track Live to be a thrilling, fast-paced game with loads of action.
Sadly, the reality is that it’s a simple RNG game where six horses or Dinosaurs (depending on the game skin you’ve chosen, race against each other to determine a winner. Of course, you get to bet on the action, and if you pick lucky, you’ll win a payout.
The game tempts you to take on the more risky bets for the higher payouts, which you’ll soon find will decimate your bankroll.
In this review, I’ll explain how you play and how your skills as a seasoned sports bettor are useless, even if the game’s features suggest otherwise.
I’ll cover playing strategies, too, as there is a way to play this to limit your losses while you chase the bigger outside wins.
If you want to see what the fuss is all about, my video review is a good starting point.
Like Stock Market Live, Race Track Live has several variants depending on your jurisdiction (to satisfy the regulators) and your configuration preferences.
There are two skins to choose from, depending on your preference for watching cartoon animals lumbering along a “racetrack”.
In each of these modes, depending on your jurisdiction, you’ll either get:
The host is there to provide some colour to a game bereft of excitement.
The modes or variants make no difference to the actual gameplay or outcomes; everything is exactly the same.
Here’s a quick rundown of the Race Track Live game by Evolution.
Six horses are selected from a pool of fifty. Each horse is ranked in terms of its capability to win. There are three types of horses.
Two runners from each classification are picked for every race.
The strongest runner is allocated to Lane 1, while the weakest runner gets lane 6.
The name and odds for each horse are displayed in the playing interface as six bet positions.
You can bet on one, several or all of the betting positions.
During the Betting time, you can select between two Tipster modes, which gives information on how the runners have performed in the last 100 races, and the Tipsters Choice mode highlights the horse that has historically done better than others.
Both are reflective statistics and have little bearing on what happens in the future – although Evolution would have you believe they do! Remember RNG determines the winner, while ensuring the game delivers its 96% RTP.
Once betting has closed, the race begins. Each runner jockeys for position as they race along the track. The first one over the winning line is declared the winner!
Once the result is in, everyone with a winning selection receives their payout.
First off, no strategy will guarantee you’ll win playing this game. All we can do is create a betting formula to give you the best chance.
Evolution has helpfully given us a lot of information about the strongest and weakest runners. We know that the stronger runners will win most of the time; it’s obvious!
But that’s not going to help increase our bankroll much.
Unlike a slot, the good thing is that we get a choice of where to place our money, so while the RTP is at the Slot level, the interaction with the game isn’t.
So it makes sense with the distribution of runners to pick three in each race: a Stronger runner, an Average Runner and one of the Outsiders. We’re fortunate that there are two choices from each category in each race.
Overall, we have a 16% chance of picking the winner, so my betting advice is:
That way, if the strong runner comes in, we cover our total bet; if the average runner comes in, we make a 1 unit profit at worst, and if the Outsider comes in, we’ve made a nice profit.
I would expect this bet to give us a possible winner 50% of the time, so when the Outsider wins, we have a buffer for future losses until the next one comes in.
You can get a good idea of how often the different categories of runners win by checking out the All Horses and Tipsters Chioces modes.
Of course, you can go for the favourite each time and place larger bets, but as this is RNG, you are betting on a flip of a coin!
You can use the Autoplay function to bet on the same number(s) for a predefined number of game rounds. This is a viable strategy as the Strongest, Average, and Outsiders always occupy the same lane numbers.
The tool is also helpful in managing your bankroll, tracking wins and losses, and preventing you from making that habitual last-second bet!
The previous 100 game results are available in “All Horses” mode, which shows how the horses and dinosaurs performed against their winning probabilities during the last 100 races.
In “Tipsters Choice” mode, you get a more focused view of the horses or dinosaurs that have performed the best. The data can give insight into how the runners have performed compared to expectations.
Using the information from the two can help you understand how the game is going, but it does not definitively guarantee who will win.
Each Horse/Dinosaur has a specific payout allocated to it, which you can see in the tables below.
The game’s RTP is 96%, the same as a slot game.

What immediately struck me about Race Track Live was the retro, almost arcade-like feel of the graphics. My thoughts immediately went back to early computer games and the mechanical gambling games you get on the pier or in gambling arcades by the sea.
However, the nostalgia didn’t last when I realised this was an RNG game badged as live because there was a presenter.
For clarity, this is all RNG, and no human is involved in playing this game.
RNG games are not my thing, but I understand why people like them. My job is not to put you off; it’s to give an objective overview of what I think of the game.
I’ve seen people describe Race Track as a slot game. While it has the same RTP as a slot, it doesn’t play like a slot. In this game, you have to make some betting decisions, and while Evolution has provided some stats data and tips, they can’t be used to predict who will win the next race; the computer does that.
I think people will be drawn to this game because it looks quirky, but when they realise it’s a bit of a lottery to win and the excitement and thrill they were promised don’t materialise, they’ll not return.
Like all Evo games, it will have a loyal following, but I can’t see it as a top performer among the masses.
If you haven’t already spotted it, the names of the 50 runners all come from Evolution games or characters from within the games.
Evolution has produced a few RNG-heavy games. Here are a few that you might like to try out.
Evolution Race Track Live is an RNG racing game where six Horses or Dinosaurs compete against each other to win. Each of the six runners has odds of winning, and by using your judgement, you can bet on one, several or all of the runners in the race.
The maximum payout is 89:1 for Moon Shot winning the race.
The RTP is 96% for optimal play.
There is no strategy to win, but you can devise a sensible betting strategy to make your bankroll last longer and maybe give you a chance to back a winning outsider.
You can play at all Evolution Live Casinos. My current favourite is Playojo, which has all Evolution Games plus games from the other leading providers.
