Fortune Roulette from Pragmatic Play follows the trend of multiplier roulette games but has been enhanced with a few unique features that could arguably have made it one of the best live dealer multiplier roulette games to date.
You can get up to 6 multipliers each game round, plus a Bonus round where more multipliers are available and a special catch all chest, that if landed on, pays every multiplier on the table.
And the icing on the cake? All inside bets qualify! What’s not to like?
In this review, I’ll explain how to play Fortune Roulette and look at strategies to help you win with multipliers.
This section breaks down the rules of Fortune Roulette. So, if you’re an experienced Roulette player and have played multiplier roulette before, this will give you all the information you need to start playing.
If you’re new to this type of roulette, read the full review for everything you’ll need to start playing Pragmatic Fortune Roulette.
The sequence of the game is:
Betting Time is about 26 seconds, give or take a second, so there’s plenty of time to place your bets.
Use the Race Track, one of the pre-configured bets or a previously saved favourite bet.
If you’re going to play for a while and use the same numbers every time, Autoplay is a great feature to set up and leave the game running. You can choose between 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 automatic spins.
The dealer starts spinning the wheel before betting time closes. Once betting time is over and there are no more Bets, the Multipliers get allocated to the numbers on the wheel.
Up to six numbers can have multipliers up to 540x.
An additional number gets chosen for the bonus, and one more for the chest feature.
The ball will bounce around the wheel until it rests in one of the numbered pockets. If you have a bet on that number, you’ll win a payout.
In the picture, I had a nice win on the Chest number, which paid all the multipliers on the betting grid. This totalled 660x!
If the result was the Bonus round, players with an active bet play in the Bonus.
The Bonus round consists of a three-row, 5-column slot. On each of the reels are multiplier values and chests. You collect the multipliers when a chest lands on one of the reels. Getting chests is vital for two reasons:
When you join the Bonus round, you initially receive 5 Free Spins.
For every three chests, you get an additional 5 Spins. The first time you do this, the Multipliers on the wheel get doubled.
The second time you get three chests, you get five more free spins, and the multipliers are multiplied by 5.
Get three more chests and five more spins, and the multipliers are increased by 10x.
A progress bar at the top of the screen shows how many Chests you’ve collected and how many more you need to collect for the next set of free spins.
Multipliers on the Slot wheels are only collected when a Chest appears.
At the end of your Free Spins, your total payout equals the amount of multipliers collected divided by the bet type you have. Your bet type determines your payout; the playing interface displays the calculation.
The maximum possible win in the Bonus round is 9000x.
Fortune Roulette contains all the standard roulette bets. The major bet categories are Inside Bets and Outside Bets, which refer to the layout of the betting baize used on the table.
Inside Bets refer to bets placed directly on Numbers.
The payouts for these bets are higher than for outside bets because they cover fewer numbers with one chip. The highest payout comes from the Straight-Up Bet.
Outside bets refer to the betting positions on the outer edge of the betting grid. They contain many numbers grouped into a single bet types.
Because Fortune Roulette has multipliers, Pragmatic has changed the paytable, which is common with all the Live Casino Game developers offering multiplier games.
The payouts for all of the Inside Bets have been adjusted by a few points, enabling them to offer the multipliers. You can often tell how volatile the game is by how much the Straight-up payout has changed. In Fortune Roulette, we’re lucky because the payout has dropped from 35:1 to 23:1. The remaining Inside bet payouts are also proportionally lower. In a game like Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette, the Straight-up payout is 19:1!
The table below shows the payouts in Fortune Roulette. The bigger number is what is possible with a multiplier win.
Also, note that all inside bets qualify for the multipliers. So, if a multiplier covers a part of the bet you’ve made, you’ll get a proportion of the multiplier value as a payout. For a straight-up bet, you get 100% of the value, Split 50% and so on.
Bet | Covers | Payout | RTP |
---|---|---|---|
Inside Bets | |||
Straight-Up | 1 Number | 23 – (539:1) 8999:1 | 95.07% – 97.30% |

Corner | 4 Numbers | 5 – (134:1) 2249:1 | 95.07% – 97.30% |
6 Line | 6 Numbers | 3 – (89:1) 1499:1 | 95.07% – 97.30% |
Outside Bets | |||
Dozen/Column | 12 Numbers | 2:1 | 97.30% |
Red/Black | 18 Numbers | 1:1 | 97.30% |

Low 1-18/High 19-36 | 18 Numbers | 1:1 | 97.30% |
The playing interface comes with lots of pre-configured ways to bet.
You can view the results from up to the last 500 game rounds in the Statistics panel.
The panel is broken down into three sets of statistics.
A visual representation of the wheel, displaying the results dispersal and the Hot and Cold numbers.
The second view shows the hit statistics for each of the Outside bets.
Strangely there is no information on the Inside bets.
The last view, and probably the most interesting, is the past results. This shows the number, whether it contained a multiplier and its value or if it was a Chest or Bonus win, with the corresponding multiplier payout.
Fortune Roulette performs very well compared to its multiplier roulette competitors. Because it joined the party late, Pragmatic has been able to copy and adapt the successful features of other games.
The big win for Fortune Roulette is that it accepts all inside bets for the multipliers. This is the same as Gravity Roulette, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire Roulette, Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Jet Set Racing Roulette, Diamond Rush, Sticky Bandits and Cash Collect.
Payout-wise, Fortune Roulette has 9000x. The closest you’ll get is Mega Fire Blaze with 10,000x Sticky Bandits at 5207x or Diamond Rush at 5000x.
But where Fortune roulette scores highly is the additional bonus round on top of the Multipliers. The bonus round pays 9000x, while the max possible on the betting grid from the multipliers is 3240x. No other game except Cash Collect has a mix like this, although Cash Collect pays much lower.
As an all-around game, Fortune Roulette is hard to beat.
From what I’ve learnt over the years and have played lots of multiplier roulette games, no one strategy will guarantee you’ll win.
Strategies need to be varied to suit the game type. Because Fortune Roulette accepts all inside bets, it’s a bit easier to determine the sort of strategy that will be successful.
The nice thing is you don’t have to bet on every number. Every number has an equal chance of winning; previous results do not affect future results. The roulette wheel doesn’t have a memory!
So, my advice and a strategy I’ve successfully used is to bet on Sections of the Wheel. Your section is entirely up to you, but I’ve had more success using the Tiers section than any other.
As split bets count toward the multipliers, I’m happy to place a Tiers Bet and an Outside Bet, usually on Odd or Even. I switch between them depending on how I feel and what’s happened in the past.
I never bet more than 5% of my Bankroll, and I always bet an amount that will return a profit if I win. This part is essential.
Note: You have a 1 in 37 Chance of getting a winning number. A 1 in 37 chance of having a winning number with a multiplier. You also have a 1 in 37 chance of getting the bonus and a 1 in 37 chance of winning the Chest.
European Roulette and, therefore, Fortune Roulette have an RTP of 97.30%. The house edge comes from the single-zero on the wheel. Thirty-seven bet positions with a 36:1 payout (including Stake) give a 97.29729% return to the player. So you know the game is stacked against you before you start playing.
The highest multiplier possible is 540X; you could have six of those in a game. The Chest payout accumulates all the multipliers, so this could reach 3240x. The Bonus round has a payout of 9000x.
Live Roulette continues to evolve, and I thought we’d nearly seen the end of multiplier games. Pragmatic already has a few games in their catalogue – Mega Roulette and Power Up Roulette, so I didn’t think we’d see another one. I was wrong.
Fortune Roulette has taken the best of what’s been before and created a game with Multipliers, up to 540x, a feature that pays them and an additional bonus round, taking the payout up to 9000x. So you have three chances in this game to get an enhanced win. The standard straight-up payout of 23:1 is okay when compared against other multiplier roulettes, and while not the best, it’s not the worst either.
There’s not much to the studio design. The Multiplier wall behind the dealer shows the numbers clearly, and with the wheel positioned front and centre, you get a clear view, and there is plenty of room for the presenter. The colour scheme fits with other pragmatic games, with a strong use of red and gold.
I’ve enjoyed playing Fortune Roulette and certainly recommend you try it.
Fortune Roulette is another live dealer game of Roulette with Multipliers by Pragmatic Play. This version’s significant difference is that it allows inside bets to qualify for the multipliers, bonuses, and chest features.
There is no way to cheat or hack Fortune Roulette. By definition, it’s a live game that uses an actual roulette wheel spun by a presenter. The wheel is closely monitored for balance and bias so that the maintenance engineers can correct imperfections before players take advantage.
If it were easy to win at Roulette, everyone would play it. With an RTP of 97.30%, this in-built edge in the game already favours the house. Beating roulette is more likely to occur using Outside bets and being lucky. Withdrawing when you’re ahead is a difficult thing to do and is the only way you can beat the game.
You can play Fortune Roulette at any Pragmatic Live Casino. My personal favourite is Playojo.
The only strategy to ensure you can get a multiplier, bonus, or chest feature is to cover a portion of the wheel and hope your number comes in with a multiplier assigned to it. Other strategies exist, and they rely on covering portions of the wheel. The good thing is all Inside Bets qualify, so you’ve got a good chance of winning something.
Fortune Roulette is unique because all Inside bets qualify for the Multipliers and Chest Feature, and there is a Bonus Round where you can win more multipliers.
