Pragmatic Play has produced a new version of live dealer roulette with multipliers called Live Mega Roulette.
It is based on the classic table game of European Roulette but modified with an RNG element that selects up to five random numbers on the betting grid to receive a special multiplier for that spin.
The multipliers can range from 50x right up to 500X!
The standard payout of 35:1 for a straight-up number is now 29:1, which is how the multipliers are funded.
Multipliers are assigned to straight-up bets only, so split bets, odds/evens, section bets, etc., will not benefit from a multiplier win.
All other bets pay using the standard European Roulette odds.
You’d be right if you think the game looks similar to Playtech’s Quantum Roulette and Evolution’s Lightning Roulette. It’s played the same as Lightning Roulette, whereas Quantum Roulette has additional boosters awarded after the multipliers numbers are assigned. In essence, the three are the same type of game.

Let’s start with a description of Mega Roulette, the various components of the game, and what you’ll see when you first load up the game.
Mega Roulette uses an Auto-Roulette Wheel positioned on a pedestal in the middle of the studio. The Auto Roulette wheel is live, and a computer controls its operation. Compressed air sets the ball in motion.
A presenter/dealer is used to comment on the game and give information about past spins, numbers, etc. The presenter doesn’t like to engage in long chats, as they have so much information to impart, so chit-chat is impossible.
You use the playing interface to place your bets, visually representing the betting grid you see on real tables.
A racetrack can place section bets, although these do not qualify for multiplier payouts.
Statistics for the last results run along the bottom of the screen; if a result is a multiplier, it is highlighted with its value.
Mega Roulette follows standard European Roulette payouts for all bets apart from straight-up. Straight-up numbers pay at 29:1 instead of 35:1, which pays for the multipliers.
The RTP for the Mega Roulette is 97.30%. For the straight-up numbers, the return is less at 96.50%.
Only straight-up numbers receive the multipliers. It can select up to five for each game round, ranging from 50x to 500x.
If you happen to win a multiplier, you’ll be paid the multiplier value only – your initial stake is retained.
You’ll probably want to play live Mega Roulette online for two reasons.
Tip Number 1 – If you’re playing for the multipliers, you’ll need a playing strategy to ensure you get them when they hit.
Tip Number 2 – If you play straight-up numbers usually and you’re not bothered about multipliers, play a regular game of European Roulette as the return on a number bet is better at 35:1.
Tip Number 3 – If you play bets other than straight-up, you’ll be getting the same return as elsewhere, so play in the knowledge that you’re not paying for the multipliers with lower payouts. Sit back, bet as standard, and enjoy the free entertainment.
Tip Number 4 – If you chase the 500x multiplier and expect it to come in regularly, you’ll be disappointed. It has to be selected first. Then the ball has to drop in that pocket on the wheel. The odds are long!

Firstly you need to manage your bankroll, decide what strategy you’re going to use, what your bet amount will be per number per spin, and how much total bankroll you have.
I advise you never to bet more than 10% of your bankroll on a spin. If you can make it less, do so.
If you want to guarantee that you’ll get a multiplier when it lands, you have to be betting on that number. The only way to guarantee that is to bet on all numbers.
In reality, this means placing 37 bets. On every spin, you’ll win one, which pays 29:1. So you’ll be down by eight units.
What you are hoping for is a significant multiplier to come in. The longer it takes, the more bet units you’ll be down. So if we use the 500x multiplier as an example – you’ll have to hit a win within 62 Spins to come away with a small profit. Outside of that, you’ll be making a loss.
Now that’s not to say that you won’t get smaller multiplier wins in the meantime, extending the 62 spins to something more significant.
If you get the 500x early, I’d bank the profit and cash out immediately.
This strategy involves betting on sections of the wheel.
You can use the Racetrack to place the best on the sections, but you must, and I repeat, must change any split bets to straight-up number bets, as the multipliers only pay out on whole number straight-up bets.
You can decide which section of the wheel to leave without bets.
The risk with this approach is the result of the multiplier, which may land on an area of the wheel where you don’t have a bet placed.
You’ll need to judge the risk vs reward for this bet.
Personally, It’s too risky for me, and I’d cover all numbers!
If you’re happy playing your normal game of roulette on the Mega Roulette table, why not just place a single number bet in the hope that it might come in.
That way, you’ll limit your exposure and have some fun.
Who knows? Stranger things have happened! As they say, “you have to be in it to win it!”
Mega Roulette is one of a new breed of live dealer roulette games, where there are additional payouts over and above the standard roulette payouts. Random straight-up numbers are selected to have their payouts boosted by multipliers, up to 500x per spin. Land on one of these, and you’re in the money!
Yes, there are several strategies you can use for playing Mega Roulette. There is something for all players, depending on your attitude to risk and the bankroll you have to play with. You can find more information here.
You’ll be able to play Mega Roulette at one of these Pragmatic Play Live Casinos.
Each game round can have up to five multipliers assigned. They can range in payout values between 50 and 500 times your bet.
The payouts for Straight-up bets in Mega Roulette have changed to 29:1, from the standard 35:1. All other bets are the same.
The multipliers pay out on Straight-up bets. You will not receive a payout if you have a split bet across numbers.
Mega Roulette streams from a live casino studio in Bucharest, Romania. It uses a real Automatic Roulette wheel with a computer and compressed air to activate the spin and introduce the ball into the wheel. No RNG engines are used. The result is produced naturally from the spin of the wheel.

Live Mega Roulette from Pragmatic Play falls into the category of “live casino entertainment games“, which are live games that have an entertainment quality about them and also have something extra in terms of payouts. These could be bonus rounds or, in this case, randomly boosted payouts using multipliers.
There are two other games in this category, Playtech has Quantum Roulette, and Evolution has Lightning Roulette. Of the two, Mega Roulette closely resembles Lightning Roulette in how it plays, but its design and presentation are very similar to Quantum Roulette. You could say it’s a good mix of both.
Despite this, I like the game and the way it presents itself. I don’t think Pragmatic is trying to do anything flashy with mega Roulette. It delivers what it says it can do.
I’m pleased they have adjusted the playing interface to consider how players might want to bet on the game. There is a new Bet All function in the Special Bets menu, which allows bets on all numbers. It’s a shame it doesn’t extend to section bets as well. A bet builder function would be ideal for solving this and allowing players to take their time creating strategic bets.
Pragmatic has a range of live roulette tables. They are all European Roulette and are a mix of English and localised language tables.
You can find native languages in Russian, Turkish, Italian and German. While Indian Roulette has an English-speaking dealer.
