As Live Dealer roulette reviews go, I found that Lucky Streak Live Roulette sits in the middle of quite a competitive niche.
There’s both Studio and Land based tables. The land based tables are provided by Portomaso Gaming whereas the studio roulette is streamed from Lucky Streaks studios in Riga.
Roulette is Roulette right? I thought that, but when you compare one product against another you can see the subtle differences.
Lucky Streak live roulette has a unique USP that in my opinion will keep bringing you back to the tables.

Quite simply it’s the dealers.
While they are well trained their sense of fun and inclusiveness shines through when it’s busy. Put that together with their own persoanal styles on display it’s not difficult to feel welcome at the table.
Straight off, the game at the table is European Roulette.
The playing interface is offered in two modes, Multi Camera and Classic. You can switch between the two using the camera icon at the top of the screen.
Both playing interfaces have a number of common features like:
The video quality can be set manually or just left at Auto.
It’s not the HD quality we’ve become used to at Evolution & Playtech, but it’s good enough for online play.
Multiple cameras are used to switch the view of the table and the wheel during the game round.
You place your bets using a computer generated betting grid. An optional race track is available to place Neighbour & French Bets.
Unfortunately I found viewing the Black numbers on the betting grids very difficult. The interface is quite dark so the Black numbers don’t stand out like the red. It’s a small detail but it would stop me using this view.
Wheel closeups are used when the ball is spinning in the wheel and a slow motion replay is played when the game round has completed.
Again I found both to be a bit grainy in appearance and I wasn’t immediately able to recognise the number where the ball landed.
Maybe not a big issue for regular players of live roulette, but I found it frustrating.
With the Classic playing interface everything is displayed head on. There is no multiple camera angles, but you do get two views of the wheel on permanent display.
If you’re eagle eyed you can see the ball in the wheel, but there are no close ups during the spin.
However, what’s immediately noticeable is how easy it is to see the numbers on the betting grid and race track.
The betting grid is superimposed over the whole table. It’s a larger area which makes it easy to place your bets.
When activated, the statistics facility displays win percentages of each number on the table.
It’s a nice feature to use if you use stats to help you place bets.
Personally I keep the feature switched off.
Lucky Streak also offers Land Based streamed tables. They have a deal with Portomaso Gaming who are based in Malta. They use two casinos, The Portomaso and the Oracle to stream live roulette online.
The regualr playing interface has been overlayed on the stream, so there is some consistancy between the tables.
The games from the casinos are slower than the studio games, mainly because real people are playing at the tables. It takes time for the croupier to settle all the winning bets which is why the game is longer. Betting time can be minutes, so don’t expect a quick game.
Streamed from the Oracle Casino in Malta, this is one of 3 tables you can play on.
It’s a classier casino than the one in Portomaso, but you really have to visit them both to see what mean.
This is one of two tables streamed from the Portomaso Casino in Malta.
It’s a big casino with plenty of floor space devoted to table games. You wouldn’t really know the tables were being streamed online apart from a small sign on the table.
The cameras are hidden away in the ceiling, which is why all the table views are from above.
Lucky Streak Live Roulette is a good functional game. There are no frills.
The basics are covered well. Additional functionality and an upgrade to the stream quality would be obvious improvements to make.
However the dealers really make their roulette tables somewhere you want to visit. On busy evenings there is a great buzz coming from the tables.
Don’t take my word for it, try it out for yourself!
