Bitcoin Live Casinos

bitcoin live casinos

Bitcoin Live Casinos are in their ascendency. Every week I am seeing online and live dealer casinos adding Bitcoin as a payment method.

The Cryptocurrency is being slowly adopted right across the online gaming industry.

What’s really interesting is seeing Bitcoin only brands appearing that only take Bitcoin as a deposit option. I’ll go into the reason for this later on.

What started a bit of a fad and niche is now going mainstream.

You’ll be pleased to know that there’s a few live casinos that now accept payments in Bitcoin.

Some of these are casinos I’m already playing at and some are new to me as they only offer Bitcoin.

Choosing Bitcoin Live Casinos

If you want to play live dealer games online you have two choices of where to use your Bitcoins.

A Traditional Existing Online Casino

This will be an existing online casino that has added Bitcoin as a payment method.

  • Your use of the Bitcoin won’t be anonymous, because this casino will want all your personal information when you setup your player account.
  • Using Bitcoin at one of these casinos will be for convenience, because you have Bitcoin you want to spend or you want to keep processing fees to a minimum.
  • When playing at one of these casinos, the Bitcoins you deposit will be converted into the currency of the site, so be aware that you’ll lose some of the value in exchange rates.
  • It may or may not be possible to convert your winnings back to Bitcoin, so make sure you understand that before making a deposit.
  • Restrictions on access to the site from legal jurisdictions will still apply.

BitCoin only casinos

This will be an online casino that has been setup to solely use Bitcoin as a deposit method.

  • You probably won’t have to provide any personal details. If that’s the case you and your play will remain anonymous. Only an Email Address will be needed. Note: If personal details are asked for they need to be correct (i.e. not made up). You’ll probably have to verify your account when you withdraw. If the details don’t match it’s likely your winnings will be confiscated.
  • The casino may accept players from any jurisdiction. Sometimes they will block certain countries, but if you’re using a VPN you can get around that and play. The Bitcoin and lack of player verification processes ensure you can play and withdraw without any problems.
  • Your game play will either be in a converted currency or in Bitcoin units such as mBTC.
  • These casinos are particularly popular with players from the United States of America and Australia.

Why use Bitcoin?

That’s a very good question and one you’ll see lots of people trying to answer. It’s especially important for people who want to gamble online but are located in areas where it’s illegal for them to do so.

The main reason people use Bitcoin is for the anonymity it provides when you’re making a sale or purchase online. Payment transactions are anonymous, but the rest of the transaction may not be, so don’t automatically believe you can’t be traced if you use Bitcoin.

Remember, you’ve probably given your personal information to the company who you’ve setup your online Wallet with.

You’ve probably used a Credit/Debit card or Bank transfer to purchase the Bitcoin in the first place. You’ve even given a delivery address for the goods you’ve purchased. See what I mean?

So you’ll need to do a lot more than just using Bitcoin to remain anonymous.

Reasons to use Bitcoin

  • Transactions remain anonymous.
  • There are low transaction fees.
  • You want the ease of using a currency that has no Government oversight or regulation.
  • To use a currency that is inherently secure. Transactions are encrypted end to end.
  • You want to use a payment method that allows you to remain anonymous in certain situations.

Reasons to be careful with Bitcoin

  • Transactions cannot be reversed. If you send your money to the wrong address you’ve had it.
  • If you lose access to your wallet where you store your bitcoin addresses you’ll lose all your bitcoins for good.
  • Bitcoin is an extremely volatile currency. The value can go up and down very quickly.
  • Transactions can take a while to be verified, you can shortcut this process by paying additional fees to have the transaction processed more quickly.

How to get Bitcoins

To use Bitcoins you need to buy them from a Bitcoin exchange. But before you buy them you need somewhere to store them and that’s called a Wallet.

Bitcoin Wallets

There are 4 types of wallets:

  1. One you install yourself onto your Desktop PC. For example Bitgo, Electrum, Copay and Bitcoin Core
  2. One that is hosted on the Internet. Such as Coinbase, BTC.com, BitGo and GreenAddress.
  3. Hardware Wallets such as Keepkey, Ledger Nano and Trezor.
  4. Mobile – BTC.com, CoPay, Electrum and Bitcoin Wallet.

With all the different types it’s important that you do some research for the one that suit your needs best.

Security, functionality, convenience and fees should be on your list of criteria for picking the right one.

Bitcoin Exchanges

Bitcoin Exchanges are where you buy and sell Bitcoins. There are a few of them.

The most used International ones are Bitsquare, Bitstamp, Bitwage, Coinbase, Kraken and Xapo.

Any coins you purchase are then stored in your Bitcoin Wallet.

Bitcoin Live Casino Games

You will find a good selection of live dealer games at Bitcoin Live Casinos.

Betcoin Live Roulette

The most popular game when playing with Bitcoin is Live Roulette. That comes in two different playing formats. European Roulette and American Roulette.

  • European Roulette is the most widely played. It offers players an RTP of 97.3% and is played with just one Zero.
  • American Roulette is played with two zeros on the wheel. Zero and Double Zero. This takes the RTP down to 94.74%

Obviously out of the two the European version is the one to play. Bets can be placed on the table or by using the Race Track, that enables you to place bets on single number and their neighbours. It’s also a useful way of placing the common French bets, which cover the different sectors of the wheel.

Betcoin Live Blackjack

You’ll be able to play 7 Seat Blackjack using 6 or 8 decks. Both Vegas and European Rules are adopted by most live casinos. Most now have a full range of Blackjack Side Bets, that’s Perfect Pairs, Bet Behind and 21+3.  Visionary iGaming casinos carry the innovative Blackjack with Early Payout. It’s a multi player game, where loads of people are playing the same hand. You can cash in your hand early if you don’t want the risk of losing the hand.

BetCoin Live Baccarat

There are loads of different types of Live Baccarat that you can play with a Live Dealer. There’s the straightforward game with Player/Banker. Then there’s versions where you or the dealer can Squeeze the cards. Speed Baccarat, which is a fast version of the game takes no prisoners. It’s all over before you know what’s happened. It’s popular but you have to get your bets down quick. All the games come with an array of side bets.

Betcoin Live Dealer Poker Games

Live Dealer Poker derived games are very popular. 3 Card poker is my favourite, followed by Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Casino Hold’em is by far the most popular game with players. Caribbean Stud Poker is a good alternative, but not as popular as you’d expect.

Betcoin Dice Games

SicBo is probably the most well known of the live dice games, but Betgames has recently introduced Dice Duel and Dice which offer something different.

Wheel of Fortunes

There’s a real selection of Wheel of Fortune games. Evolution’s Dreamcatcher is probably the most well known and Betgames also has a good one.

Lottery Games

Whilst strictly not Live dealer games, these are played using a live presenter who activates the ball selection machines. There’s various different versions, but they all operate on the same theme. You have to pick out a certain number of winning balls, however the number of balls that you pick in each of the games is different. The most popular games are provided by Betgames.
