These games are aimed at players that are more interested in betting, than actually playing the game for the game’s sake.
What I mean by that is the playing interface and betting options have been structured to look more like a betting slip you’d find in a sportsbook.
The objective is to provide players with the ability to place multiple bets on the game round, giving odds to each bet in decimal format, rather than the more traditional fractional format.
What’s different between Bet on Dragon Tiger and say normal Dragon Tiger is the odds/payouts change as the cards are dealt from the dealing shoe. The further into the shoe the game goes, the more the odds for each bet change.
Let’s take a look at all the Eleven possible Bet On Dragon Tiger bets.
It is possible that during gameplay as the shoe is depleted, some of the bets will be made unavailable to play. This is to ensure the game remains fair and cannot be taken advantage of.
The Dragon position wins if the position beats the Tiger position with a higher card.
The Tiger position will win if the value of the card is higher than the card on the Dragon position.
This bet wins when both the Dragon and Tiger positions have a card of equal value.
The bet wins if the hand you have bet on contains a value of eight or more. Anything else and the hand loses.
The bet wins if the hand you have bet on contains a value of six or less. Anything else and the hand loses.
For the Big or Small Bets, if the card value is Seven the hand loses.
The bet wins if the hand contains an Ace, Three, Five, Nine, Jack, King.
If a seven is drawn both of these hands will lose.
The bet wins if the hand contains Two, Four, Six, Eight, Ten or Queen.
The payouts/odds on Bet on Dragon Tiger are fluid. This means that as the shoe is depleted of cards, the odds for each bet type are re-calculated against the cards that remain in the shoe.
This ensures the “house” is maintaining its advantage over the game.
I honestly can’t think of a live dealer card game that is easier to understand than Dragon / Tiger.
This Bet On version though has been optimised for betting, rather than playing. So although the game plays the same as normal Dragon TIger, you won’t be playing it as such, but you will be betting on its outcome.
How is that different from how you normally play? That’s a great question. Quite simply the focus is the bet. Gone are the statistics and research time on what will happen next. It’s a plain old, bet against the odds. You could almost play without taking notice of the cards – they are just the mechanic to gain the result – nothing more.
The game plays like this.
Place as many bets as you like. There are Eleven to choose from.
Each time you select the + by the bet type the bet will be added to the bet slip on the right-hand side of the screen.
The value of the bet will also be shown against the Bet Type, to show you have an active bet.
Once bets are placed in the bet slip they cannot be changed or deleted.
At the end of the game round, it’s possible to use the reboot facility in the bet slip, but you’ll have to reconfirm the bet amount, whether you’re playing in quick bet mode or not.
As I explained earlier there are no roadmaps or statistics to use on this game.
The prime reason is the odds, which are recalculated as the shoe is depleted of cards, effectively meaning you’re getting a fresh start to the game each game round. So previous results definitely don’t help you work out what’s going to happen next.
My advice is to do combination bets. You can either bet on one position and place multiple bets, i.e. Dragon, Dragon Big, Dragon Even. This would require a Dragon Win or the Dragon to have a Big number or be Even.
You can place a hedge bet, so place some Dragon bets and some Tiger Bets. hedge one against the other so you don’t lose all the bets. Try and do it so they don’t cancel each other out, so you’ll need to look at the odds to see what combination will give you a profit.
This is a low paying game, so to win big you have to bet big. If you want to win big for a small bet, play something like Adventures Beyond Wonderland or Quantum Roulette where you can win 500x plus multipliers.
Playtech Bet on Dragon Tiger is a new betting variant of Dragon Tiger. Eleven bets are available with the odds changing for every game round as the dealing she is depleted of cards. the game plays the same as usual with the High card winning, but the betting options is what makes this version of the game.
Bet on Dragon Tiger is played with 8 decks of playing cards and follows the normal rules of Dragon Tiger. One card is dealt to each of the Dragon and Tiger playing positions. The position with the best card wins. What’s different with this version is the eleven 11 betting options, with payouts that change every game round.
You can place a bet on as many of the Eleven betting options as you like. A bet on the main hand is not needed to play the rest of the bets.
There is no statistical information available for this game. There are no road-maps or any information about previous hands.
The odds are calculated based on the number of cards in the dealing shoe. As more hands are dealt, so the odds change, because there are fewer cards in the shoe.
Both games are played the same, it’s just the betting that is different. As to whether Bet on Dragon Tiger is better than Dragon Tiger, I think that is for you to decide. The table, dealer, cards and studio are all the same.
Play Bet on Dragon Tiger if you want more betting options than on the regular game. The game is quick, and you’ll it more if you’re making more than one bet during each game round.
Playtech Bet on Dragon Tiger can be played at most Playtech Live Casinos. Not all have opted to take the game, so check my list of casinos out to see which ones have it.
The table used, is also used for the standard game of Dragon Tiger, it’s just the playing interface that has been changed to offer the additional bets.
Bet on Dragon Tiger has been created to target players that like decimal type betting, with fluctuating odds.
Old school card players will prefer Dragon Tiger, while sports bettors will prefer Bet on Tiger.
While combination bets are not currently available they may appear in a future release.
I think there is an opportunity for the existing Eleven bets to be extended to even more, to include the suits and colours, but that change would need an upgrade to the playing interface.
