Authentic Gaming has launched an enhanced version of live roulette with multipliers.

While we’ve become used to roulette with random multipliers, XL Roulette is the same, but different.

Players have been given control over the number of random multipliers that can be chosen for each game round.

Unlike Lightning Roulette, Quantum Roulette, and Mega Roulette, which all offer between One to Five multipliers, XL Roulette offers between One and Eleven!

Authentic Gaming has coined the phrase “Players Choice”, giving players the option to accept an increased risk for the chance of more multipliers.

There are four game modes:

1. Standard Mode selects normal European Roulette with a standard payout table. No Multipliers are available with this option.
2. XL Roulette changes the Straight-Up bet payout to 29:1 and gives the options of One to Five multipliers.
3. XXL Roulette reduces the Straight-Up bet payout to 23:1 and increases the potential multipliers from Two to Eight.
4. XXXL Roulette pays Straight-Up wins at 17:1 and increases the possible multipliers to between Three and Eleven.

All other roulette payouts are the same, regardless of the option you play.

The Multipliers range in value from 50x to 500x.

How does XL Roulette Compare with the Competition?

Authentic Gaming has produced this nice chart that gives a visual representation of the differences between the market-leading suppliers of Roulette with multipliers.

Missing from the list is Mega Fire Blaze Roulette from Playtech, which has a slightly different way of delivering the multipliers and isn’t strictly the same as it can pay up to 20,000x!

Which is the Better Game to Play?

On paper, XL Roulette has the edge. The RTP is standard 97.3%, and the number of multiplier choices is enhanced to Eleven.

You can switch play between betting modes, varying your risk on each spin.

BUT and this is a big But, you get nothing for free. The more multipliers you opt for, the lower the return on Straight-up numbers.

Of course, more multipliers increase your chances of getting a winning number? Not necessarily, just because you opt for up to Eleven multipliers doesn’t mean you’re going to get them. That is determined by the RNG engine!

XL Roulette is more volatile, with all the options, and should be played with some care. It’s easy to burn through a bankroll quite quickly with all these games if you go chasing the multipliers!

I’m not a huge fan of these games, because they all sell something that is really difficult to achieve. You need two gambles to be right to win – the first one is to pick a number that gets a multiplier and the second is for the ball to land in that pocket on the wheel!
