I’ve dissected the game to make an educated guess about how this bit works, allowing you to create your Lightning Roulette strategy more successfully.
I’ll start by giving you five of my strategies.
Note: Any strategy described on this page only works if you have an active straight-up bet on a number. Other Inside Bets, like Split bets, Line, Corner, and Street, don’t qualify unless you have a chip on each number. A straight-up win on Lightning Roulette pays 29:1 instead of the usual 35:1, which is how Evolution funds this multiplier game feature.
If you bet £1 on all numbers, that’s £37, so you’ll need to win 37x to break even. If the ball lands on a non-multiplier number, you always get back £30 for a loss of -£7 or 23.3%. You’ll only get a profitable game-round spin if you hit a number with a multiplier.
Note: When you start placing bets on all numbers in this game, you’ll find that 20 seconds of betting time isn’t enough to cover the entire wheel. You’ll have to do it in two rounds. Finally, let’s look at the wrong way of playing Lightning Roulette.
You’d be correct if you think betting on random numbers is a high-risk strategy. It’s not action-packed, and long periods of boredom will test your perseverance and bankroll.
If you bet on a selection of numbers that don’t cover more than a third of the wheel, you’ll likely lose often and reduce your bankroll accordingly.
Accept that you’ll lose more than you win most of the time, and prepare your budget and expectations accordingly.
I like the racetrack strategy the most.

Assigning the multipliers is the least random part of the game. I don’t have data on how many are assigned each game round, but based on my observations, you’ll get three multipliers on about two-thirds of the games you play. Some rounds will get two or four; one or five is a rarity.
I’ve played the game for a while, and while the 500x multiplier is something you’ll often see, the game is skewed towards smaller multipliers.

I’ve run a few sessions using the betting system.
I made small bets in the first session because my bankroll was quite small. I hit 50x and 100x multipliers, and one 250x.
They came spaced out but not so far as to leave my balance too low. I had about 60 minutes of play and ended up even.
I didn’t hit a multiplier for over 40 spins. When it did come in, it was 50x. The next I hit was after another 30 spins, which was 100x.
As you can imagine, my balance was reducing at a steady rate. I played for about an hour and, quite honestly, I got bored.
