The USP of Quantum Blackjack is the multipliers.
It’s possible, with a following wind to end up with a 1000x multiplier riding on the Players hand. All the player has to do is beat the dealer for a mega payout.
Quantum Blackjack is a single handed game of Blackjack played against the dealer.
The game uses 8 Decks, which are shuffled after every game round in a Auto Shuffler dealing shoe.
Before each game round commences, an RNG engine selects up to 3 cards and assigns a multiplier to each.
If any of these cards are dealt to the players hand the win will be multiplied by that value. Each multiplier card is applied to the hand payout, so it’s possible to have more than one multiplier in a hand. When this occurs the multipliers are cumulative, so for example a 3x and 5x becomes 15x.
To get a 1000x multiplier the player hand needs to contain three 10x multipliers (10 x 10 x 10).
Quantum Blackjack is played to Vegas Rules. Doubles and Splits are allowed, with Split Aces getting one card.
As there is only one player hand, each player plays the cards as they see fit. Only their hand is displayed on the table. Any other card dealt are not shown in the playing interface.
One game rule has been changed.
When the Dealer busts with 3 Cards the game round is a Push, rather than a player win.
This has been done to allow some of the games RTP to be assigned to the Multipliers.
The one exception is when the Players hand contains a multiplier, the hand is paid as a winning hand and not pushed.
The theoretical return to player for this game is 99.47%.
The only other difference is the storage for the discarded cards.
It’s difficult to see on the table, but there is a black dome where the cards are stored until the end of the game round. They are then placed back into the auto shuffler by the dealer.
Watch my Video review if you’d like to see the game in action.
In my opinion this is another game changer for Live Casino Games and certainly Live Blackjack.
Having Multipliers on Blackjack hands is unheard of, but now they are here and Playtech has come up with a very playable solution.
I can’t see any reason why players wouldn’t be attracted to Quantum Blackjack. The chance that you’d get more than the previously best 3:2 payout for BJ is just mind blowing. You only need one big hit and you’re in the money.
I’d say you shouldn’t, but it will be really difficult to take a card on 16 when you’ve got a 10x multiplier in your hand.
I think this will test and change the dynamics of the game.
Well done Playtech! – Now we just have to wait for the clones to arrive :-)
