Treasure Island Gets A Makeover
Pragmatic Play has boldly decided to give their Treasure Island Game Show a makeover.
No part of the game has remained unscathed in this ground-up rebuild.
Gone are the complexities of the original game, which used gems as a currency for calculating payouts.
The number of Bonus round segments on the big wheel has been reduced, making the gameplay more in line with other games in this genre.
The game now has the feel of Evolution’s Crazy Time but with a Treasure Island theme.
Unlike Crazy Time, this game comes with a multiplier booster that generates a multiplier every game round, ensuring that bigger payouts are not too far away.
The theme and presenters stay the same, although the presenters seem to have a new lease on life and are some of the chattiest I’ve come across.
The RTP is consistent across all areas of the game, delivering 96.51% to 96.55%, which is in line with the original game’s.
However, the payouts have been increased, with the top multiplier being 20,000x on Captain Flint Treasure and John Silver Loot.
RNG still plays a central role in the game. However, two Bonus rounds require player participation, and two use live elements to determine the outcomes.
Treasure Island Mark Two went live on November 7th 2024, and is available at all Pragmatic Play Live Casinos.

It’s a bold decision to change a game, and I think Pragmatic has made the right call. I wasn’t that happy with the original game; I found it too complicated and could not build any sort of anticipation. The frequency of the bonus rounds also undermined them, which, in the long term, pushed players away.
Don’t get me wrong—players want to win, but if the wins are too small and frequent, no one is getting entertained, and therefore, the game is not sticky.
Hopefully, this will improve things for Pragmatic, as the Theme and presentation have always been great; it was just that the game was not good enough in its original form.
I encourage you to try this new version out.
