Evolution Adds Seven-Seat Freebet Blackjack
Evolution has rolled out a new version of its famous live dealer FreeBet Blackjack game. The latest version uses a seven-seat table, whereas you played the original version on an Infinite FreeBet Blackjack table.
FreeBet Blackjack is one of those niche games that only a small proportion of Blackjack players play. Until now, Infinite FreeBet Blackjack was the only version you could play.
So it was a bit of a surprise to find that Evolution has added Seven-Seat FreeBet Blackjack to its Live Blackjack catalogue.
What is FreeBet Blackjack?
FreeBet Blackjack is based on Blackjack with some minor rules changes, which gives players the ability to Split or Double down for free on certain hand types.
The cost of this is a rule change on the dealer’s hand. The dealer’s hand will push the player wins if he busts with a hand value of 22.
Why Seven Seat FreeBet Blackjack?
That is an excellent question.
Other than it being more authentic, replicating the experience you can get in a Las Vegas Casino, there is no playing difference between the Seven-seat and the Infinite versions.
The side bets are different, with Seven-Seat FreeBet having three (21+3, Perfect Pairs & Bet Behind), while Infinite Blackjack has 21+3, Hot3, BustIT and Any Pair. The difference is due to a lack of space on the seven-seat table.
If you play side bets, the BustIT side bet can act as insurance for a dealer bust on three cards but can’t protect you from the dealer push on 22. So you might want to consider which version to play.
How To Play Seven Seat Freebet Blackjack
You place your bets as normal on your betting position before the dealer deals your first two cards face up.
- If you have a Pair that is not a Ten, Jack, Queen, or King, you can Split your Hand for free.
- If you have a Nine, Ten or Eleven (Ace), you get a free double.
With either of these, you can choose not to take the Free Bet. More on that later.
Otherwise, you have the standard options to Hit or Stand.

Is There a Strategy For FreeBet Blackjack?
So here is the thing. Just because you get free bets doesn’t mean you should play them. It would be best if you played Freebet Blackjack using Basic Blackjack Strategy, as that is the proven mathematical way to play Blackjack.
Don’t deviate from the strategy, especially when offered the Freebet.
Seven-Seat FreeBet Blackjack Side Bets
The side bets differ between the two versions of FreeBet Blackjack.
- Infinite FreeBet Blackack has four side bets – BustIT, Hot3, 21+3 and Any Pair.
- Seven Seat Freebet Blackjack has three side bets – 21+3, Perfect Pairs and Bet Behind.
As a general rule, if you’re out to win playing FreeBet Blackjack – Don’t play the side bets!
