Playtech has substantially changed their live slot, Everybody’s Jackpot.
The first change you notice is to the central slot game. Originally, there were four 3×3 slot games. These have been replaced by one large 5×5 slot, which has required a new paytable to be developed.
Scatters still trigger the bonus rounds, but the requirement for the number of scatters to determine the spins during a bonus round has been removed.
All bonus rounds now have a pre-defined number of spins.
Each Bonus round has been tweaked in some way to include player participation. Let’s look at the changes.
The Free Spins Bonus round now uses a 5×5 grid slot, giving you five spins.
Before the game starts, you pick either line two or four as your win line. Any wins on this line are yours. All wins receive a 3x multiplier.
This replaced the older version, which ran on a 3×3 slot, with a minimum of 5 spins and a max of 30 spins, depending on the number of scatters used to trigger the bonus round.
Walters Bubble Bonus uses the same 4×4 grid but replaces the drop and stick symbols with four spins of the slot. When a Walter symbol appears, it sticks through the remaining spins until all four spins finish.
The multipliers are chosen before the game round starts by picking from one of four bubbles, which has increased from three in the previous version. The number of Walters added together is multiplied by the multiplier to give the payout value.
There have been some subtle changes to the Pick Me Plaza Bonus Round.
The grid has been expanded from a 4×4 grid to a 5×5 grid.
The number of tiles you pick has been reduced from four to three.
The rest of the round plays the same.
The Block Bonus Round has changed with the way the multipliers are distributed around the four faces of the cube.
They are arranged from low to high, with the multipliers increasing as you complete more faces.
The column of the last face has a variable multiplier of between 2000x to 4000x.
I’m not a fan of these live slot games, so it isn’t easy to be enthusiastic about them.
However, the original Everybody’s Jackpot slot was an extremely popular game back then, so Playtech wants to ensure its live counterpart does it justice.
The change in the central slot is obvious, as it plays more like the original slot than the previous versions.
The complicated Scatter feature has been simplified, as has how the bonus rounds’ spins are allocated, making the game a little more predictable and less volatile.
All the bonus rounds have some level of player participation, making you feel more involved in the game.
The high-paying Block Bonus round and the Jackpot remain unchanged, except for tweaking the multipliers.
All in All, the changes are positive and make this a more playable game for fans of this type of game.
The best part is the daily Jackpot, so make sure you’re playing it at the end of the evening if it hasn’t been triggered during the day – see my review for details of the time slots.
