The Snakes & Ladders Live Gameshow from Pragmatic Play has received a massive makeover, with virtually every part of the original game undergoing some form of change. The biggest change has been the introduction of a big wheel as the main game mechanic, replacing the dice rolls.

Snakes & Ladders Gets An Upgrade

Snakes & ladders, the live casino game show created by Pragmatic Play, has been given a complete makeover.

The game’s theme remains, as do the two Bonus Rounds, the Snakes and Ladders Board and the Snake Totem. Everything else has changed, including how the bonus rounds play!

The new version of the game no longer uses a set of dice as the main mechanic; that’s been replaced by a 54-segment wheel.

There’s a new multiplier applied to one of the segment groups for each game round. These can boost the payouts by up to 20x.

You now bet on segments on the wheel which contain instant win prizes for the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10. There are Nine Bonus round segments, which give access to the two bonus rounds.

The Snakes and Ladders board can now be played with three or five rolls of the dice. A sic rolled gives another turn. The game ends when all rolls are completed. You collect multipliers as you move along the board, banking the ones you stop on.

The Snake Totem contains 66 vertical tiles, each containing a multiplier or nothing. You roll a dice and climb up the Totem, collecting the multiplier you land on. If you land on an empty tile, you lose a life. You enter the game with either on eor two lives depending on the segment from the big wheel.

This makeover has transformed the game from quite complicated to a more straightforward game that is easier to understand.

You feel like you’ve got a chance of winning on many fronts. The multiplier at the start means the number bet is worth playing, and it’s easier to work out a playing strategy, which was difficult with the previous version.

I definitely think the changes are for the better. With this version, the top payout possible is 29,570x, which is more than the original 10,000x.
