KingMidas Games has joined Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters programme, gaining access to the supplier’s Game in a Box™ technology and a wider international distribution network. The partnership is intended to help the studio accelerate game development, experiment with new mechanics and expand its reach across global markets.
Greater Control over Game Production
Through the agreement, KingMidas Games will use Yggdrasil’s proprietary Game in a Box™ technology to develop and launch new titles. The platform gives the studio greater flexibility throughout production, allowing its developers to adjust game mechanics, modify mathematical models, change server-side logic and test different gameplay concepts.
This flexibility could help the studio streamline development and bring new releases to market more efficiently. It also gives the team greater control over how its games evolve during production, supporting experimentation without abandoning its creative direction.
For KingMidas Games, the agreement represents a step in its international growth strategy. The company intends to combine its own creative expertise with Yggdrasil’s technology, commercial support and established distribution infrastructure.

A Portfolio of More than 150 Titles
KingMidas Games brings a portfolio of over 150 titles to the YGG Masters network. Its existing work includes collaborations with Japanese intellectual property holders, giving the studio experience with recognisable characters and established fictional worlds.
These partnerships could provide a distinctive addition to Yggdrasil’s growing collection of third-party game developers, particularly through content built around familiar entertainment properties and differentiated gameplay.
Yggdrasil’s distribution network includes more than 2,000 brands, giving partner studios access to a broad commercial ecosystem. The partnership provides KingMidas Games with an opportunity to introduce its content to additional operators and audiences without having to build the same distribution reach independently.
Both Companies Focus on Innovation
Sargis Khachatryan, global commercial director at KingMidas Games, described Yggdrasil as a strategic partner whose technology and international network align with the studio’s ambitions. He highlighted the importance of creating distinctive gaming experiences that resonate with players.
Zoe Bird, head of YGG Masters, also welcomed the partnership, pointing to the studio’s gameplay and Japanese IP collaborations as valuable additions to the programme. She expressed anticipation for the development and launch of KingMidas Games’ first title through the partnership.
The agreement strengthens Yggdrasil’s third-party development ecosystem while giving KingMidas Games additional technical and commercial resources to support its next stage of growth.
