Tonybet has added poker to its Irish platform, giving existing customers access to a new gaming vertical alongside sports betting, live casino and slots. The poker product went live on 6 October. Irish players do not need to create another account or download a separate application to use the new offering. Poker is available through the existing Tonybet platform and account.
The launch includes cash games, scheduled tournaments and Spins. Cash games allow players to join and leave tables during play, while tournaments use buy-ins and prize pools. Spins provide a faster tournament format with smaller fields. EvenBet Gaming supplies the poker technology for the launch. The company has worked on more than 200 poker projects across 20 countries.
Tonybet already operates a sportsbook and casino offering for Irish customers. The sportsbook covers more than 100 sports, while its casino includes thousands of games across slots, live casino and other formats.
Former Republic of Ireland international Tony Cascarino, who is also a Tonybet ambassador, welcomed the addition of poker. He highlighted the similarities between poker and competitive sport, particularly decision-making and dealing with pressure.
Poker is now available as part of Tonybet’s Irish offering through the same account and wallet used for its other products.
