Gone is a rather traditional presentation of the game, with a table in the shape of a football pitch and a background evocative of a football stadium.
What we have now is something that resembles more of the razzmatazz presentation of the NFL ( if you’ve every watch the American broadcasts of American Football).
The dealer stands rather than sits, which changes the dynamic of the game. Although you’re playing cards, you actually feel that more is going on than it really is.
The presenters are miked up, making it easier in theory to hear them. The point is you get to discuss football while you’re playing.
A ticker across the bottom of the screen displays the latest soccer news, acting as a prompt for subject matter to talk about.
How the game is played
The game hasn’t been changed. It’s a spin on Dragon Tiger, where you have to predict which position will have the higher card. Ties pay 11:1, while other results pay 1:1.
What Games are covered?
The presenters monitor big football matches, watching on a discretely placed tv screen in the studio. They’ll commentate & report on the games while dealing the cards.
