High Stakes Blackjack – Play Live Blackjack with Highest Limits for UK Players – from £25 to £50,000!

High Stakes Blackjack Introduction

Blackjack has a house edge as low as 0.50% and with a correct strategy, some say it can be beaten.

This is why Blackjack is the perfect game for high rollers, and it is best played online, at a live dealer casino.

High stakes blackjack isn't only for players who bet £1,000 per hand. If you're betting £50 per hand, or even £25, you're already in need of a high stakes table.

This article will show you how to find the right blackjack table and the right casino. I will cover these topics:

  • The Best high roller casinos available to UK players.
  • The Best high stakes blackjack games that suit medium and big players.
  • A correct strategy to play blackjack.
  • The importance of playing live dealer blackjack, not the RNG version of the game
  • Information about legalities, such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Source of Wealth (SOW).

Where to Play High Stakes Blackjack in the UK?

If you're looking for a blackjack table with the highest limit, and want to play it at an online casino that is reputable and offers a good experience overall, your choice will likely be between Unibet, LeoVegas and Playojo.

The first two run on Evolution software while the latter uses Playtech. All three are superb choices, and also offer their own dedicated blackjack tables.

Play Live Dealer or RNG Blackjack?

It goes without saying, live dealer blackjack is superior to the random number generator (RNG) version.

All the big players play the live dealer game for a reason.

It uses an actual deck of cards, a real live dealer, and at certain tables, you can even request a shuffle!

The betting limits are much higher at live dealer tables, with a wider variety of games available by the top software providers, Evolution and Playtech.

The RNG game is not real blackjack. What's more, each new hand comes from a freshly shuffled deck - so there is no deck penetration during the life of the dealing shoe.

Blackjack Tables with Highest Limits

Here are the high stakes blackjack tables, ranked by their maximum bet. Note that some tables such as Soirée and Infinite Blackjack also offer very low minimum bets.

Tables that say "Dedicated" are unique to the casino listed in the "Play at" column.

SoftwareTableMin BetMax Bet
EvolutionDedicated£50£50,000
EvolutionDedicated£5£20,000
EvolutionSalon Prive£1,500£10,000
PlaytechSoiree£50£10,000
PlaytechDedicated£25£10,000
EvolutionDiamond VIP£1,000£5,000
EvolutionGrand VIP£500£5,000
EvolutionPlatinum VIP£250£5,000
EvolutionInfinite£1£5,000
EvolutionFortune VIP£250£2,500

Evolution Salon Privé and Playtech Soirée are the two true VIP experiences. At Salon Privé you'll be playing alone, and Soirée offers a minimum bet that opens the door to many players.

Evolution Infinite Blackjack offers no exclusivity, just very favourable rules and the widest range of bets of tables on this list.

The four Evolution VIP tables – Diamond, Grand, Platinum and Fortune – offer large bet limits and a hint of class.

What is considered a big bet in Blackjack?

Most casinos would agree that a bet of £50 per hand is what separates the recreational players from big players.

That being said, there are plenty of people who play with a £25 bet per hand, and in my opinion, that too constitutes a large bet.

True high rollers can sometimes bet upwards of £1,000 per hand.

Down below I'll cover the best tables for high rollers and the best tables for players who bet £25 or £50.

There's one table that covers both groups of players.

Playtech Soirée Blackjack – Perfect for Medium and Big Players

As you'll see further down on this page, Evolution's Salon Privé Blackjack is prohibitively expensive to play. The minimum bet is £1,500 while the maximum is £10,000 and beyond.

Playtech's Soirée Blackjack retains the same maximum bet of £10,000 but the minimum bet is only £50!

This probably makes it the table with the widest range of bet sizes available in casinos today.

Playtech has decided to set the minimum bet at £50, which is considered the entry-level VIP bet size, to give players at the lower end the same experience as true high rollers. I imagine it's a ploy to try and upsell these players into bigger bets or allow the big betting players to try relatively smaller stakes before betting at their normal high levels.

Soiree Blackjack is played in an elegant-looking black environment. Seven seats are available, and at the lower stakes tables, there will be other players, while the high stakes tables tend to be less busy or even empty! There's Bet Behind as an option if the table is full.

Game Rules

8 decks are used. The players get a 15-second window to place their wagers. Two cards of the same value can be split. There's no surrender and no re-splitting. The dealer must stand on 17, and must draw to 16. Insurance becomes available if the dealer's upcard is an Ace. Blackjack pays 3 to 2 and insurance pays 2 to 1.

When the dealer's 30-minute dealing window has expired, players at the table vote to change the dealer or keep the existing one.

Players can also request a shoe change/reshuffle from the dedicated casino host for the table. This kind of power is reserved for the higher stakes players – you can't walk in with £50 and simply kick the dealer out!

Pairs and 21+3 are the two available side bets. You can also bet on the dealer's position for the Pairs bet.

The game is only available after 16:00 GMT since soirée is a French word for an evening social gathering.

Where to Find Soiree Blackjack

You'll find Playtech Soirée Blackjack tables at Betfred (Uk) and Dafabet Casino. Both of these casinos also offer lots of dedicated branded tables with high limits.

Playojo is the most flexible choice if you want to play a Playtech game, as they have dedicated tables with a minimum bet of £25 and a £10,000 maximum.

Evolution Salon Privé Blackjack – A Private Experience for True VIPs

There are three Salon Prive private tables – other players can't watch you play – and if a table is free you can join if you meet the minimum playing requirement, which is a £6,000 account balance.

The minimum bet at these three tables is £1,500, £2,000 and £3,000 respectively. This can be adjusted up by the casino but not down. Usually, up to £10,000 can be wagered, but it's possible to bypass this limit.

Game Rules

The player can request a shuffle at any time, and can even request a change of the dealer, though only the best are chosen for Salon Privé tables.

Deal times can be controlled through the Deal Now button on the playing interface. Extra-long time is available for betting if you need it.

Salon Privé Blackjack is played with 8 decks, Insurance, and two side bets, Perfect Pairs and 21+3.

There is a VIP Room Manager present at all times, available to resolve any issues immediately or to take care of special requests, such as a limit increase.

Where to Find Salon Prive Blackjack

Visit Unibet or Leo Vegas to indulge in Evolution Salon Privé Blackjack.

LeoVegas is the best choice if you also want some VIP perks such as invitations to exclusive events. This casino just opened a VIP Lounge, too, and is the top-rated casino on my website.

Evolution High Stakes Blackjack Tables

If Salon Privé is too much – for most people it is – but you still want to play high stakes blackjack, Evolution has four VIP solutions for you that differ only by bet limits.

TableMin BetMax Bet
Diamond VIP£1,000£5,000
Grand VIP£500£5,000
Platinum VIP£250£5,000
Fortune VIP£250£2,500

The Blackjack rules are the same across the board.

House edge is around 0.61%, 8 decks are used and they are replaced when 3/4 of the shoe has been dealt.

The dealer must stand on 17 and must draw to 16.

Insurance pays 2 to 1, Blackjack pays 3 to 2. Doubling down is available on any two cards, and any two cards of the same value can be split.

There are two optional side bets, Perfect Pairs and 21+3. There's no Bet Behind.

Fortune VIP is the only game that's a bit different from the others, as it features a nice crimson Chinese theme.

These four tables will offer high rollers a chance to play high stakes blackjack, though you could do the same with Playtech's Soirée Blackjack. This offers a lower minimum bet and a higher maximum bet.

Infinite Blackjack – Bet anything from £1 to £5,000!

Infinite Blackjack by Evolution might just be the game that's perfect for almost any player.

The maximum bet is £5,000 so if you want higher than that, your only other options would be Salon Privé or Soirée. The minimum bet is only £1.

Infinite Blackjack is so good because it comes with a favourable set of rules that bring its house edge down to 0.53%.

However, the main feature is that the player is always guaranteed a seat, as every player is playing the same initial two cards.

The Six Card Charlie is a special rule, unique to Infinite Blackjack, that says you'll win the hand if you accrue a total of six cards without exceeding 21, regardless of the dealer's hand.

In addition, Infinite Blackjack has four side bets: Hot 3, Bust It, 21+3 and Any Pair. Read more in my Infinite Blackjack review.

All Evolution casinos have the game, but if you want the best ones, visit Rizk or LeoVegas.

Dedicated Blackjack Tables – Limits up to £50,000

I always see it as a sign of quality when an online casino decides to offer dedicated blackjack tables, as opposed to simply streaming the game that every other casino streams as well.

You'll find dedicated tables at many casinos I recommend on this site: LeoVegas, Unibet, Playojo and many others.

Unibet deserves a special mention as they have 29 Blackjack tables, with two reserved for high rollers with a £50 minimum and a £50,000 maximum bet!

High rollers will also be happy at PokerStars Casino, where the minimum bet at a high roller table is £5, and the maximum is £20,000.

You're more likely to receive on-table promotions on an exclusive table, such as prize draws, bonus cards, raffles, etc., and you'll only be competing for seats with players who play at that same casino.

Also, dedicated tables use the same dealer staff all the time, so if you're a regular, you'll get to know them, and they'll get to know you!

All in all, I'd recommend playing at dedicated tables or at least playing at a casino that has them.

Correct Blackjack Strategy

As I'm sure you know, there's a correct way to play the game of blackjack.

More specifically, there's a correct decision for every situation that you may encounter during your game.

I'm covering blackjack strategy in detail here, and you can use it for all the tables I mentioned above – Evolution  Salon Privé, Playtech Soirée, the four Evolution VIP tables and Infinite Blackjack.

Licensing, KYC, Source of Wealth

In order to play for high stakes, you'll have to go through several checks and there's generally no way around that.

All players have to go through Know Your Customer (KYC) and Source of Wealth checks. These can be time-consuming but are necessary – especially when it comes to large sums of money.

Be prepared to provide identification, such as a Driving Licence or Passport, proof of address, which may be a utility bill or council tax invoice.

For the source of wealth, you'll have to prove where your income comes from, so a payslip and bank statement are normally required. You may also be asked about your outgoings, such as loans, mortgages etc. It all seems pretty intrusive but is necessary under the UKGC rules.

The good news is once done, you never have to do it again!

Be careful with high limits

While blackjack is a game with a very low house edge, and low variance – as in, you probably won't be entering into long losing streaks, like roulette, can deliver – it's still important to know what kind of wagers your bankroll can handle.

Safe gambling practices aren't just for small players – they apply even more when your stakes increase.

Always be aware of how much money you're winning or losing, set a win/loss limit, and have a plan.

Professional players walk away when they lose a certain amount or win a certain amount.

Do try to have a strategy in place, and never chase losses.
