Merkur Bets has gone live with EveryMatrix’s omnichannel platform technology in Denmark as part of a wider technology migration across the Merkur Group. The launch covers both the operator’s retail and online betting operations.
EveryMatrix now powers more than 1,000 sports betting terminals across more than 230 Merkur Bets shops in Denmark. The technology also supports the operator’s online sportsbook and casino.
The Danish rollout is a complex omnichannel deployment, combining retail terminals, shops, sportsbook and casino operations on the same technology.
Jonas Groes, co-CEO at EveryMatrix
Merkur Bets was rebranded from Cashpoint last month and is part of the wider Merkur Group. The Danish launch is the first of several planned migrations involving Merkur brands in other European markets.
Austria, Germany and Belgium are expected to follow Denmark as the group moves towards using a common technology platform across its European operations.
The launch was an important step towards creating a consistent technology foundation across the company’s European markets.
Mathias Dahms, Managing Director for Sports Betting at Merkur Group
The companies are now preparing for further Merkur brand migrations to EveryMatrix technology in additional European jurisdictions.
