Pragmatic Play Sic Bo Review, How to Play and Strategy

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

Introduction to Pragmatic Sic Bo

Pragmatic Sic Bo is a more traditional version of Sic Bo than Pragmatics' previous release, Mega Sic Bo, which included multipliers with an enhanced paytable.

This version is simplified in its presentation but offers casinos the ability to customise the studio design due to the Green screen chromakey technology being used.

Therefore, you'll likely see many presentations of this game, but they will be the same game, just dressed differently.

In this review, I'll show you the standard presentation, explain how to play Pragmatic Sic Bo and discuss betting strategies.

If you've not played Sic Bo before, you're in for a treat, as it's a fun game that delivers more than you expect.

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

How is Pragmatic Play Sic Bo Played?

Firstly, don't be put off by the rather elaborate betting grid. It's pretty easy to understand and use, which will become apparent as I explain how to play Pragmatic Sic Bo.

This is a game where you must guess the outcome of three rolled dice. The dice are not rolled; they are agitated under a glass dome until they come to rest. Once the dice come to rest, the sides facing up are used for the result.

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

Types of Sic Bo Bets

You can make a range of bets, so let's step through each of them.

  1. Bet on one Dice - You guess the result of at least one of the three dice will be a specific number, 1 to 6.
  2. Bet on two dice - this is a little more complicated as you have to pick the values that will appear on two of the three dice.
  3. Bet on the Total of all three dice -  You're guessing what the total will be when added.
  4. Then there are the triple bets that rely on the result of all three dice. Some of the bets are more straightforward than others.
    1. The total of the three dice will be Big (between 11 - 17) or Small (4 - 10).
    2. The Total of the Three dice will be Odd or Even.
    3. Whether two of the dice will be doubles in the ranges 1-3 and 4 to 6.
    4. There will be a Triple in the 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 ranges.
    5. If there will be any Triple.

You can choose any bet or place multiple bets, and the choice is yours. My betting strategy uses lots of bets. It's not as scary as it sounds. There is some logic behind it. Read more below.

There are 15 Seconds of betting time, so you must be quick when placing your bet. If you're placing lots of bets, you may have to do it over the course of two game rounds. Once you're happy with your bet, you can repeat it manually or use the Auto Play feature to do it for you.

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

Once the dice have been shaken, the result is displayed on the screen and all the bet positions that won are highlighted on the betting grid, making it easier to see what you've won.

AutoPlay

Autoplay is a great way to replay the same bet for a set number of game rounds.

It's a helpful tool if you like to play the same bets each game or have a bankroll you want to manage.

To use Auto Play, you set up your bet on the betting grid, and once you're happy with the bet, select the Autoplay icon next to the coins.

A little menu opens with five game round options - 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100.

Clicking on one will repeat the same bet for the set number of games.

Sit back and enjoy the fun.

You can modify or stop auto-play at any time by clicking on the icon and selecting one of the two options displayed.

Video Review

Here's my video review of Pragmatic Sic Bo, where I explain how to play and also show you my betting strategy in action.

Pragmatic Sic Bo Betting Statistics and Results Tracker

There are four sets of statistics and results trackers for Pragmatic Sic Bo.

The main results tracker, which runs along the bottom of the screen, displays the results for the previous eighteen game rounds. Each one shows the outcome of each dice and the cumulative total.

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

Odd/Even - Small/Big Results Tracker

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

These two sets of statistics show the Big/Small and Odd/Even results.

They are presented in a roadmap format, reading left to right with a new column started each time the results change. This enables you to see the trends and sequence of results.

These are useful if you like following trends but don't help you know what the following result will be.

I like to bet on trends in some games, and if I bet on these spots, I'd look at previous trends before deciding where to place my bet.

Dice Result Statistics

Pragmatic Play Sic Bo

The last 100 game rounds are used to compile the results statistics. Every game aspect is broken down so you can see how it performs.

Over the long term, you'd expect an even distribution of results across all of the parts of the game. The game is random, so it shouldn't favour one particular number or outcome.

However, displaying the last 100 results can give you a skewed view, so I'd advise caution if using this information to help you bet.

Specific statistics are available for:

  • The % time each number has been in the result in the last 100 rolls.
  • The breakdown of results by Small, Big, Odd and Even
  • The % time a trip has occurred during the last 100 games.

Pragmatic Sic Bo Payout Information

The table below displays the bet types, explanations and the expected payouts.

The lowest risk bets are the Small/Big and Odd & Even Bets, which pay even money 1:1. You've got just under a 50% chance of winning these because the numbers three and eighteen are excluded for each set of results.

This gives Sic Bo a house edge of 2.78& or an RTP of 97.22%.

The best payout is for a specific Triple at 210:1, but the odds of that occurring are much higher!

The Total bet has a payout range of 70:1 to 6:1, depending on the total.

Playing Strategies for Pragmatic Sic Bo

When faced with a game like Pragmatc Sic Bo, which has 52 betting options, it can be a bit overwhelming where to start.

So, here are my Betting Strategy Tips that should help you get going.

One of my main objectives when looking at betting strategies is not necessarily how I can win big. It's more about managing my Bankroll, giving me a long, enjoyable playing session, and being in with a chance of getting some nice wins.

So here are my top betting tips.

  1. Even money bets are your friend. Start here if you're new to the game. Bet on Odd/Even or the Big/Small sections. You'll have just under a 50% chance of winning. If you're part of the game, you'll begin to understand the other betting options as they are revealed during the results.
  2. Single and two-dice combinations are an excellent way to ease into the more complicated-looking bets. Make one or two of these to see how you get on.
  3. The Total Bet is riskier because you're guessing the total of the three dice. The more common totals are Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven and Twelve, but these have the lowest RTP of all the totals, so long term, it's best to steer clear of them.
  4. The rest of the bets are riskier. My pick of these is probably Any Triple, with a payout of 34:1. They don't happen often, but when they do, they pay well.

My Betting Strategy for Pragmatic Sic Bo is based on picking one number between One and Six. I choose a number and bet on every spot containing that number. I don't bet on Even money-paying bets.

For example, I pick number Five. I'll place these bets.

  • A unit on Single bet Number Five
  • A unit on Double bet One and Five, Five and Two, Five and Three, Five and Four and Five and Six.
  • One unit on Total Five, Ten and Fifteen.
  • One unit on Triple Five and the Double Section containing Double Five.

I win when at least one of the dice is a five; I'll also get combinations, doubles, and totals.

This strategy keeps my Bankroll turning over, and I can generally play for a long time.

Summary Review of Pragmatic Sic Bo

I'm pleased that Pragmatic has released Sic Bo, while most of their peers seem to be removing their.

The base payouts are much better than the equivalent multiplier games, and while the top payouts are not as good, you get a better turnover of your bankroll with this version.

The customisable studio should be a big draw for the Casinos, as they'll be able to brand the environment for not a great deal of cost, which will give players the feel of a more on-brand playing experience.

Sic Bo Alternatives

Pragmatic Play has a multiplier version of Sic Bo, Mega Sic Bo, which is worth trying.

Playtech has Sic Bo Deluxe and Speed Sic Bo.

Evolution has Super Sic Bo, while Ezugi offers Sic Bo and Ultimate Sic Bo.

If you plan to play the standard version of Sic Bo, Pragmatic Sic Bo Offers the best payouts of the three competitor games.
