Mobile Live Casino Overview
Mobile Live Casino used to be a bit of an Oxymoron, but it was only a matter of time before playing live casino games on mobile devices would become more widely adopted.
All of the major live casino software companies have mobile solutions for their games. Although one or two are still struggling to get the whole of their game portfolios into a mobile format.
Live Roulette was the first game rolled out by many suppliers and there is now an abundance of good quality games, like the excellent 3 card poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em from Evolution.
Play-ability has improved, but WIFI or 4G are still the best options if you want a stable and lag-free playing experience regardless of what the casinos will tell you.
Mobile interfaces now look the same as their PC counterparts. This has a lot to do with the adoption of HTML5 for coding.
Mobile Live Casino Apps are widely used but there is an equal amount of in-browser solutions available. I think there will always be a place for apps given the smoothness they bring to the games, but I do think they won't be such large downloads.

Most online casinos use apps to access their casino games on mobile devices.

There are still some anomalies with the way some mobile live dealer solutions have been deployed. It can be frustrating when you’re looking to play live casino games on your mobile only to find a game unavailable for your device type or operating system.
These are not helped by a lot of misinformation printed on Casino Review sites that don't know what they are discussing.

Some Points to Note:
The playing experience on a Mobile Phone differs from that on a Tablet. Playing live casino games on a Tablet is much closer to the desktop experience.
Evolution only allows landscape mode on Tablets, whereas Playtech and the other providers allow both Landscape and Portrait.
You tend to play with a tablet resting on your knees or in two hands, so landscape mode is all you need.
However, on a mobile phone, I tend to use it one-handed, so I also need to be able to play live casino games that way.
That's why Portrait mode is so important on smaller devices. If a casino doesn't offer portrait play, I'm unlikely to play there for long.

Playtech offers both European and Vegas rules while the others all play to Vegas Rules.
Most tables offer 7 seats, while Playtech and Evolution offer one-handed games like Infinite Blackjack & All Bets Blackjack, where multiple players all play the same hand.
If you want to guarantee yourself a place on a 7 seat table, play somewhere like bet365 where there are dedicated tables.
Mobile Live Roulette
Roulette is probably the most mobile-friendly game there is and perhaps that’s the reason why it has the most variations on offer.
Mobile European and American Roulette are options at Evolution, while all other providers just offer European single zero roulette.
Land-based streaming is popular, the most tables being available at Evolution casinos.
Authentic Gaming has a large selection of land-based tables from European casino resorts. Their games really suit experienced players, as the playing interfaces have been adapted to give a player every betting option they could want.
Portrait versions of mobile roulette all seem to have floating windows for the video streaming, allowing you to move them around the playing interface. The betting grids are maximised during the betting time to make placing bets as easy as possible.
Mobile Live Baccarat
I don’t suppose I should be surprised but all versions of baccarat can be played on mobile. I thought at least games involving the Squeeze might not, but they are. Both Evolution and Playtech have Baccarat Squeeze.
Other versions of Baccarat include No Commission, standard Baccarat, and Mini-Baccarat, which a choice of side bets.
Baccarat Road maps are available but are a bit fiddly to read on smaller mobile devices. My preference when using them is to play on a Tablet.
Mobile 3 Card Poker
This is only available at Mobile live casinos with Evolution software. The game is presented in Portrait and landscape options. I prefer to play in Landscape & full-screen mode.
It’s one of my favourite poker derived games as it’s easy and quick to play.
The real money gets paid on the side bets, but they are only worth playing if you have the bankroll to and get an early hit. Otherwise, you’ll lose your money, shirt, and maybe your temper, lol.
Mobile Live Casino Holdem
This is by far the most popular poker-based live casino game.
It outperforms all the others put together. It’s based on the classic Texas Hold’em.
The mobile version of Casino Hold’em is just as playable as the desktop version.
It’s a one-player hand game that an unlimited number of players bet on. The side bets on this game are very popular, with the 6 card bonus giving you a chance even if your main hand is rubbish!
Mobile Caribbean Stud Poker This isn’t one of my favourite games, but it does have a loyal following.
It’s one of the few live games that follow the original stud poker rules. Five cards are dealt to the player and five to the dealer. The best hand wins. It’s as simple as that.
There is the option to play side bets including a very lucrative Progressive Jackpot.
Caribbean Stud poker can be played in Landscape mode only.
Mobile Live Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker
This is another variation of single hand Texas Hold’em. This differs from UTH in the way betting proceeds through the game. The Side Bets are paid out for more unusual hands, so gives a nice twist to the game.
I like this game very much. I tend to play more on a Tablet and Desktop than on my phone, as you need to concentrate as the cards are dealt, and I can’t do that if out and about.
Again, this is only available at Evolution Mobile Casinos.
Mobile Live Ultimate Texas Hold’em
This is only available at the Evolution mobile casinos. It’s playable in both landscape and portrait screen orientations.
This is a one-handed game that requires up to 4 playing decisions to be made during gameplay. You may find this a problem if you’re in an area where connectivity isn’t that great. I’d be inclined to play on Wifi or in a very good 4G area.
Mobile Live Dream Catcher
Dream Catcher is Evolution Gaming’s wheel of fortune type game. It works well on mobile, with both a landscape and portraits playing interface being offered to players.
It’s one of those games that require your attention. Lots of chat and interaction with the dealer make this game and that can be hard to enjoy if you’re playing on a small screen.
Mobile Live Spin a Win
Spin a Win is Playtech’s version of Dream Catcher, but with some additional side bets. The same applies to this game.
While it’s playable on a small screen you’ll get a better experience on a larger screen.
Mobile Live Hi-Lo
This is a very simple game, you have to predict whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower than the previous cards.
Hi-Lo is a quick game and ideally suited for mobile devices. As long as you place a bet and it’s confirmed the game plays out with no further interaction required.

Mobile Live Dragon Tiger
Dragon Tiger is a Baccarat style game, but only one card is dealt to the Dragon/Tiger position, which represents the player and banker. The high card wins.
Bot Evolution and Playtech have mobile versions of Dragon Tiger and they both play in portrait and landscape modes.
Mobile Live Sic Bo
This dice game has a huge variety of bets that can be made.
It can be a fiddly game to play on mobile, but the new Super Sic Bo version from Evolution Gaming does a pretty good job with its playing interface.

I don’t know about you, but the very first card game I learned was 3 card brag. It’s the forerunner of live 3 card poker. They are both played the same, It’s just the hand values are different.

This is a football-themed game, based on Dragon Tiger.

Live Streaming Connections - Are they still bad?
