Playtech Implement Changes to Adventures Beyond Wonderland Live
Following player feedback, Playtech has made a number of changes to Adventures Beyond Wonderland Live.
I take a look at the changes and what they mean for gameplay.
December 2020 – Game Updates For Adventures Beyond Wonderland Live
Following player feedback, Playtech has made a number of significant changes to their newly released live game show – Adventures Beyond Wonderland Live.
The changes are aimed at improving the playing experience of the game.
For those of you who maybe played the game when it was first released here is the list of changes that have been made.
A random multiplier boost can randomly be triggered during the main game spin after betting time has closed. A multiplier of up to 10 x is applied to one of the numbered positions for that spin. This is a new feature not in the original game.
Changes to the Wonderspins bonus round. previously the Eat Me and Drink me sectors on the bonus wheel either increased or decreased your win balance by 30% when landed on. This has been replaced with a +1 / -1 multiplier being applied to all the character multipliers with an additional Re-spin performed.
The Mystery Caterpillar Multiplier which used to give a multiplier to the whole of your Bet for that game round has been replaced with a range of multiplier on all the betting positions. A re-spin is triggered to see which position will be the lucky winner.
In the Magic Dice Bonus round if either dice lands on the 2x square, all multipliers on the game grid are doubled for both dice colours. before it was just for wins by the dice colour that landed on the 2 x square.
As a result of the changes, the RTP’s have been re-balanced across the game, giving a more even result across all the betting possibilities.
Previous RTP
Number 1 – 91.5%
Number 2 – 91.8%
Number 5 – 92.1%
Number 10 – 96.06%
2 Wonderspins – 95.51%
5 Wonderspins – 95.52%
Magic Dice – 94.7%
New RTP
Number 1 – 96.82%
Number 2 – 96.69%
Number 5 – 96.58%
Number 10 – 96.70%
2 Wonderspins – 96.66%
5 Wonderspins – 96.67%
Magic Dice – 96.58%
Are The Changes Any Good?
In my opinion, the changes have made the game more enjoyable in parts, and give a less volatile playing experience – meaning that wins feel generally smaller, but perhaps you get them a bit more often.
The bigger wins seem more elusive overall.
I did note that the win on the Mystery Dice are generally better, while the 2 Wonder spins are less.
There are parts in the bonus rounds where you can now win nothing – this is a big departure from the original version where you were almost guaranteed to win something if you got into a bonus round.
What About The Big Wins?
Big wins are still possible, but and it’s a big BUT, you need a great deal of luck to get them.
The big wins will come from the respin of the mystery Catapillar Multiplier landing on a bonus round and taking that multiplier into the bonus round. Then you need to have a good bonus round to get the benefit of the multiplier.
The super big wins will come from the Mystery Bonus Round occurring on consecutive spins, thus multiplying the already existing multipliers. Then the Super Big Wins could happen.

Software – What is the software like to use and does it integrate well with the rest of the casino?. Are the images clear and is the video streaming fast? Have they taken more than the default shared tables? Is it available on mobile?
Payment Options – Does the casino have a good variety of payment options? Do they payout quickly and on time?
Security – How good is the reputation of the casino amongst other players? Do they hold a valid gaming license? Are they transparent about the security measures they have in place? Are they regularly audited? Do they publish this information?
Support – Do they have multiple methods for communication with me? Is support available 24×7? Do they have instant chat and are they quick to respond? Are they able to help me immediately? Do they have an online FAQ and self-help library? Are the support people knowledgeable about the product I’m playing?
Bonuses – Do they have bonuses?. How strict are the wagering requirements? Do they offer repeat bonuses?. Do they offer loyalty points and can they be redeemed for cash or playing credits?
