Playtech has created a new dedicated live casino studio for leading online casino operator GVC. the studio has been named “Elevation” and will be available to many of GVC’s brands.
The studio is being launch in stages during the next two months and will initially go live wit 5 Blackjack tables and 1 Roulette.
Given the extensive nature of GVC’s online portfolio it will be interesting to see how many of the brands will have access to the new environment. The maximum number of Blackjack seats available is 35 so that suggests a roll out to a select number of brands.
Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech said:
“As the parent company behind some of the most iconic brands in online gambling, GVC has been a key partner for us for many years, and we’re delighted to be extending that partnership with the development of Elevation, We’ve significantly invested in our Live Casino technology and facilities in recent years, in addition to continually diversifying our content – so in a year when we’ve done more than ever to enhance our product, it seems only fitting to be working with an industry leader to deliver an ever-more innovative live experience.”
Shay Segev, COO at GVC, commented:
“Live Casino is one of the major growth areas in the online gambling market, with players looking for a more immersive, entertainment-driven experience. Significant investment has gone into delivering the first stage of the Elevation studio and we’re delighted with the results.
Playtech’s track record and experience in delivering innovative Live Casino technology and content is unsurpassed. We’re looking forward to continuing our successful partnership and delivering a world-class player experience”.
I shall be following developments with interest. GVC has many brands, some already have invested heavily in dedicated environments with both Playtech and Evolution. I wonder how significant this partnership is and whether we’ll see casinos migrate from one supplier to another.
Playtech has made massive improvements this year with both its studio and the range of games being offered.
In the last year we’ve seen American Roulette, Quantum Roulette, All Bets Blackjack, Heads Up Hold’em and Casino Stud Poker added to the games list. While Hi Lo and 3 Card Brag have received make overs.
