Evolution Reveal 2021 Live Games Roadmap

Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution has taken to YouTube to reveal Evolution’s Live Games Roadmap for 2021.

It’s more of the same, innovation with the player at the centre, with games targeting the Asian market getting a boost.

Evolution’s Live Games Roadmap for 2021 has finally been revealed. This is something we have come to expect to be announced every February at the ICE Exhibition.

But without the exhibition being a focal point this year, the impact of the pandemic has delayed the announcements.

While the roadmap contains a number of new games, Todd also explained some of the improvements they are making to existing games to improve the player experience. I’ll summarise these as best I can during this article.

New Games

There are five new games that are going to hit our screens.

  • Lightning Blackjack – with multipliers of up to 25x awarded for winning hands.
  • Bac Bo – This is a Sic Bo inspired game of Baccarat played with dice.
  • Fan Tan – A traditional Asian game, identifying the remaining beads is where the action is.
  • Golden Wealth Baccarat – best described as Lightning Baccarat on steroids. There will be multipliers everywhere.
  • Cash or Crash – A new bouncing ball game show played in a flying blimp, where you climb a virtual ladder for cash prizes. Decisions to be made include taking your winnings, taking half or gamble and carry on up the ladder. Cash-out before the Blimp crashes!

Lightning Blackjack

This looks like it’s played on an infinite blackjack table, meaning an unlimited number of people can play at the same time.

My understanding is the more winning hands you have in a row the more the multipliers increase.

Golden Wealth Baccarat

Following the success of Lightning Baccarat, Golden Wealth Baccarat will have even more multipliers.

Fan Tan

This is an ancient Asian game where you bet whether the remaining number of counters left after sorting, will be one, two, three or four in number. It’s that simple!

Cash or Crash

Played in a blimp, this bouncing ball entertainment game will literally have you climbing up a ladder. The decision is to take your money before he blimp crashes. Or take a chance, take half and carry on, or leave it all to double up while risking losing it all.

Bac Bo

Almost the same as Dragon Tiger, but played with dice. The hand with the highest number wins.

Game Enhancements

A few game enhancements have already been implemented. The first is the Red Envelopes on Baccarat, which boosts the payouts of the pairs side bet with multipliers.

The second is a zoom function has been added to Live Blackjack, so you can zoom in and see the real cards rather than rely on the RNG depiction of them.

It’s long been one of my bugs bears that when you’re playing live you have to rely on the computer-generated images to see what is really going on. This fixes that.

Finally, betting on the Baccarat Road Maps. New functionality has been added that displays the roadmaps of all the baccarat tables in play. You can quickly scan down the maps and identify the game or indeed the next hand that suits your betting trend. There’s no more opening up lots of tables or even chopping and changing between them to see what’s going on. This is sure to be a massive win, for players and Evolution.
