I met with Jonas Delin at ICE in September 2017 when he hinted that he was working on a deal to stream live roulette from a US Casino.
I thought at the time it was a great idea. It’s something that would be quite unique for online live casinos.
Of course I was hoping for somewhere in Las Vegas, but Foxwoods Grand Pequot Casino in Connecticut is just as good.
US Players in Jersey are able to play live casino online. They take a stream from the Golden Nugget Casino in partnership with Ezugi. Unfortunately no-one else is able to benefit from this.
This is the first time that players from outside the USA can play live roulette from a US Casino.
This brings a new dimension for online live casinos. European players will be able to enjoy the tables and atmosphere of playing in a US land based casino.
I’m hopeful that this is just the start of something much bigger.
Foxwoods Resort Casino is North America’s largest resort casino, and the fifth largest in the world. It’s owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
The table will be European Roulette. It will be streamed from the Club Newport VIP room at the Grand Pequot Casino, Connecticut. The casino is 5 hours behind GMT.
Jonas Delin, CEO of Authentic Gaming, said:
“This is a breakthrough deal for us and the wider online gambling industry.
It marks the very first time any live casino game has been streamed from the floor of a US casino to European players.
Foxwoods Resort Casino is the largest casino complex in the US, offering thousands of slots and several hundred table games in addition to world renowned restaurants and night clubs.
I’m sure players will be drawn to games streamed from Foxwoods, porting them right to the heart of the action.”
Seth Young, Director of Online Gaming at Foxwoods Resort Casino, said:
“We are thrilled to be the first US casino to stream live to online players in Europe and around the world.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Foxwoods to extend its brand internationally, and to show the world what it means to experience Foxwoods hospitality.”
It will also be available to platform providers such as Everymatrix, NYX Gaming Group and The Bethard Group.
The table is due to come online in April 2018, so keep you eyes out for the launch announcement.
I have tried to be objective and consistent with all my live casino reviews. Hopefully they will strike a chord with you, but I thought it might be helpful to explain the criteria i used to mark each of the casinos. Hopefully, the categories and explanations make logical sense.
Playability – What is the overall impression of the casino. Did I have a good time?, are the dealers nice and chatty?, is everything easy to understand?. Does it have a good set of games, is there a comprehensive set of betting options? Are high stakes players taken care of?
Software – What is the software like to use, does it integrate well with the rest of the casino?. Are the images clear and the video streaming fast.? Have they taken more than the default shared tables? Is it available on mobile?
Payment Options – Does the casino have a good variety of payment options?. Do they payout quickly & on time.?
Security – How good is the reputation of the casino amongst other players? Do they hold a valid gaming license? Are they transparent about the security measures they have in place. Are they regularly audited. Do they publish this information?
Support – Do they have multiple methods for communication with me? Is support available 24×7? Do they have instant chat?, are they quick to respond?. Are they able to help me immediately?. Do they have an online FAQ and self help library? Are the support people knowledgeable about the product i’m playing?
Bonuses – Do they have bonuses?. How strict are the wagering requirements? Do they offer repeat bonuses?. Do they offer loyalty points and can they be redeemed for cash or playing credits.
After all that would I play there regularly?
